Is this still worth doing since u lose quest for lowering ? Like just do treasury then emissary quest rinse and repeat

Even as a veteran, I did not know this. OOS is such a pain to level up I've neglected the emissary rewards for it. Thanks phuzzy, time to go do some OOS

When i first started this game, my friend and I started with this emmisary and it went amazing. Since we were new doing the ghost ship voyages was really fun. Got level 50 in 3 days

I got tired of the slow progression of OOS after getting to 43 after almost 2 months (focused gold and merchant mainly) but then Reapers became a thing and I stopped OOS all together and got Reapers up to 50 in a few days. But now the captiancy stuff makes leveling base 3 factions easier cuz I just collect a shit ton of everything and just turn it into one person without having to run all over the island so I can get back to getting more loot faster.

the Treasuries + Shrines strat is where it's at. it's wild that level 75 OOS voyages may only give you a handful of villainous bounty skulls as the reward, especially when compared to something like Vaults for GH and Lost Shipments for Merchants. great info as always

At 75 you do have a chance to spawn flameheart in ghost fleets though, or the burning blade rather. Not the greatest loot. But gotta love those unique curse balls. I would happily swap a vault key for a box with a few of those inside 😁. (Though still souls is dead.)

Shockingly OoS is tbe one I struggle with most to get to emissary 5 so I'll definitely give this a shot. Thanks for continuing to help us new players with these great tips.

Wonderful research Phuzzy! This is a game changer for new pirates trying to hit Pirate Legend quickly! ❤️

We found a weird combination with the The Cursed Rogue tall tale and the order of souls emissary. If you start the tall tale and start the emissary after the first talking part of the tall tale you can kill every skeleton (even capitains and bosses) with less hits and get 20% bonus from the tall tale plus the emissary bonus (only if you start the tall tale first and wait untill Madame Olivia stops talking before you rise the emissary flag). Means if you farm normal missions with this method but easyly get a bonus early on even without emissary but much more than a normal OOS emissary would get. Your method might work fine (haven't tried it yet) but try it with this trick to level even faster. And yes, I know it is the 2th tall tale so you have to do the 1th first but it really boosts your level enough to take your time for this. We used this on two days without efficent farming like you did and hit the level 50 easyly with 5 hours a day. Makes it the fastest way I know about to level any faction without xp-events or Larinnas levelletters.

UPDATE: Just had some time to test this out, while I didn't have any ghost sloops nearby, I did have two ship wreaks which was enough to hit 5. Then I dropped the flag, put it back up and done the quest. Few more times and OOS will be 50 with very little effort. Thank you! Next on my list is the merchants!

SAIL ON A VOYAGE ALWAYS THE MILES COUNT TOWARDS THE COMMENDS. just ignore the quest pages unless they are 4 on a tiny island

Order of souls was absolutely hell to level up when I was stuck solo slopping to pirate legend. The ghost fleets didn’t help me at all and actually put me at risk of getting my ship sunk due to my lack of skill and constantly sailing into a ghost ship which would sink my sloop quickly. I settled with the bounties and emissary quest.

Yes anything from the world works, like skeleton captains, but ofcorse that gives less than megalodon or skeleton ship

Just FYI this doesn't work anymore; they patched it so that lowering your flag will erase all your quests.

That's the video I needed I'm level 73 order of souls and I was keeping doing solo ghost fleet to level up, praticing long range cannon shots and taking the ghost capitan skulls. I don't know if I want use your method though, I want the ghost capitan sails

Also before going I like go to sea forts and take cannonballs, food and openable chests to sell quicker

There's also another way to level OoS emissary to lv. 5 for the first time: I did it by going to the devil's roar, bought as many voyages as my crew could buy and voted until we saw a 4-captain bounty. After clearing the 4 captains we canceled the voyage and voted until we saw the 4 captains again. We repeated that until lv. 5 and then it's just 4:08 onwards.

U can do sea forts too (phantom fortress) - it takes 5 min to fight(use flintlock) then u get 2~3 damned skull and 3~4 Villainous Bounty Skull / extra tip : u can do ancient fortress (Ancient Gold Fortress & Old Brinestone Fortress) cuz they are close together and while the first fort looted and needs to re-charge u can do the second fort then comeback at first fort

If you get a coral bottles quest it's necessary to complete it. The Breath of the Sea can be sold to any faction, and gives a lot of gold and xp. That's how I leveled up my Hunters Call and OoS.

Emissary quests are by far the best way to level OOS. But regular captain voyages can be good to get to emissary 5. Have you and your partner grab 3 voyages and keep voting them until you get a fairly close 3-4 captain island.

Decided to give this a go tonight, and... Did 2 Treasuries, found a couple random Skeleton Captains, two Skeleton Sloops, picked up a Breath of the Sea Quest that pointed at a Treasury, sold everything, did that Treasury, then sold again. We made about 200k Gold in around 2-3 hours. So pretty solid guide all around; thanks. I've been OoS 75 for a while, but I still need some Ledger stuff, so this was pretty helpful.

I just happen to be working on order of souls, thanks. Normally I would just do the Ashen Winds boss, the fleets and the voyages.

2 levels away from PL and it's the OOS! You're a lifesaver

we used to stack souls emissary voyages in the shores of plenty, just doing sunken treasuries and spanish forts, leave the loot and collect on another flag. we'd get 12 skeleton captains for the emissary quest on salty sands and boulder cay, it's pretty funny to see haha

I decided to one day grind souls in the The Devil's Roar. Going to be honest, I have more fun there. No ghost fleets down there so it is just skele captain hunting voyages. During that day I managed to grab 2 ancient skeletons. I'm pretty sure their chance of spawning is higher if you force spawn skeletons. I don't know if this is a way to get em faster, but it has worked for me. Course the draw back is doing those voyages back to back takes forever, especially for a solo like me in the Roar. I don't know, maybe someone else will get lucky doing this. Or I just rolled good that day, who knows.

When I started to level up order of souls I just did 2 normal ashen skeleton hunt voyage and got level 5 easily in 1 hour and then do level 5 emissary quests that will increase your level a lot and fastly. I got level 75 when there is no shrines.

I’m pretty new to SoT. I’m surprised to hear people struggle with Order of Souls. My friends and I have just been playing the game fairly normally without trying anything complicated to level up and the three main factions are all within one level of each other without really trying (38, 39, and 39).

that's because these are still low levels. ;) wait until your levels get higher. all companies level up incredibly fast pretty much below 50. after that, it requires A LOT more work to progress your levels further.

Level 39... sweet summer child. Unless it's changed... the xp to get from lvl 45 to lvl 50 at least used to be the same as the xp required to get from lvl 1 to level 45

How many times would I have to do this strategy to get from level 40 to level 50 with level 50 for order of souls?

I do enjoy ghost fleets because it’s practice I only have 240 hrs so I’m still new I played 2 weeks like 8 hrs a day got pl now I’m doing them for supplies like a ton, practice on not broadsiding and positioning of the boat and since my friends 75 we get the special boat that drops wraith balls some times that’s fun, but your strat sounds fun I feel like even doing voyages to 75 is worth the grind still not as hard as max level season 1 I’ve been told

I wish I had seen this video a year back when I spent a 16 hour long gaming session to go from order of souls 42 to 50 by just doing ghost fleets, at least no one else has to go through that like I did😂

I'm like level 25 oos, haven't done a single quest, I just ended up in several pub lobbies that happened to be turning in the rewards from it. I feel this is easily the most efficient way to level it.

I'm glad I found this video 1 day after getting rank 75 in Order of Souls. Jokes aside, this helped me a lot getting the emissary rewards.

@@iTzLagz1995 I have about 600 hours, and I only recently got 75 in order of souls as of writing the original comment. I never really tried grinding at all, but most of it just came from doing events.

I grade 5 gold hoarders with one captains chest/treasury voyage, and grade 5 merchant with just one lost shipment. OOS takes a ghost fleet and 2-3 captains voyages to get to grade 5. Ghost fleet should have a skull drop with every storage crate to even it out. I might try this method though

Actually, you can get to tier 5 emissary with just the two treasuries. Just make sure that you pick up all of the tridents within them because the tridents give emissary progress

I raised reapers emissary. Then me and my friends stacked 2 FOTDs. And when we sell all the loot with emissary level 5 they reached lvl 25 on Reapers Bones. now its way to easier to get PL title.

I leveled OOS up to level 47 without even actively grinding for it as a Solo-Slooper. I'm about to get Gold Hoarders Level 50, then I'll focus on OOS. But it being 3 levels away from 50, I don't imagine it too much of a pain. Sure, progression at that level is slow, but it's not like it only moves only 1 pixel a time.

I don’t know if I’m just a monster, but I enjoy OOS the most. I really don’t mind doing the emissary quests, and it’s probably the closest to level 50 at the moment. But, this is a great strategy for those that don’t like doing emissary quests, so by all means, break the dang system! However, personally I’m not much of a meta gamer, so best of luck to Ye rotten bilge rats!

Would it work to do the treasuries solo by sailing to the first, sinking your ship and clearing the vault. Then go back to your ship and to the second treasury leaving the loot mermaid at the first. Finish that then go and collect both. Or can you not have two active treasury mermaids at the same time?

You can I've done it several times. Sailed to treasury/shrine, jumped off, cleared it while my ship sunk, picked up my ship wherever it spawned (usually an island or two away from the shrine), sailed to the the next, rinsed and repeated, and picked up my loot from each shrine when I was done.

No color blind settings, I just have color correction while capturing so it can preserve "almost" full quality of colors

Also jumping between those two treasuries is a decant way to grind gold

I tried this method and the 2 shrines got me to rank 4 but i didnt find any megalodons on the way and no skeleton ships. So I stopped at any island I could find to find loot and Captains but that didn't push me much towards rank 5 until I finally found a skeleton sloop which got me to 5. Is there a way to find these random spawns faster? Should I just sail across the open sea until I find one? I found one at Sailor's Knot Stronghold in the South West, which is marked as a Skeleton Fort in the Sea Of Thieves Interactive Map, maybe the spawn rate is higher there for skeleton ships? Also you start your journey from East to West (Treasury of Secret Wilds -> Treasury of Sunken Shores), but maybe West to East would be better, because else you end up in the West to bring the loot to an Outpost, get the emissary and a new flag and there usually are more players who could interfere. I'll definitely try this method again and next time I will try to go past Skeleton Forts and see if I notice more skeleton ship spawns there, because else it takes too long to find things to push me towards rank 5 and I end up doing a OOS voyage for that.

Such a shame, since I think ghost fleets are one of the most fun voyages to do from a gameplay perspective.

I reached lvl 75 with all 3 factions by doing siren shrines and treasuires a qucik tip go for shrine of tribute there are 2 sea forts near it and then go to shrine of lost ancients west of it u will reach lvl 5 with any faction inclduing reaper with it very fast

Dude, I've being doing this for fun almost since treasuries came to be, and never noticed the botencial, also, if you try this as any company emissary you will get the same amount of emissary level per treasurie, and then you will make 3p or 40k gold per treasury, I can't really remember the amaount, and I never tried but I have the feeling that if you do every treasury as an emissary but not grab the loot from the mermaid, if you lose your flag, you can just put another and you must recover your levels by simply putting the loot on your ship

I was doing this i thought most people just knew that those treasury's are free and reset plus if you find a bottle in the ocean or on an island with a quest for one of the treasury's you get better loot and rep when you complete it.

Started 3 weeks ago and became pirate legend. We started with OOS because of the vibe so we didn't know it was harder until we played the others. Haven't been a reaper, couldn't pvp, and couldn't fight ghost ships. We kept hitting the 4 Skeleton bounties especially for small islands and the emissary quest offers 16 more. There are usually a few other captains hanging around each island as well. Little islands made ships easy to spot. My wife and I started playing because of the Phuzzy videos. Thanks, we will check out the Treasuries!

Ashen winds is pretty nice but of course it's time limited and sometimes contested. Nice to get that 25k at the end of the journey. Sells for more at reapers. You get about 2-5 extra skulls usually. Also just gem spam. Souls is a graft though. Do it in bit sized pieces in its current state it's just really not funn

2 treasuries are enough for a 5th level emissary. In the treasury you need to pick up once each stick, which also increases your lvl.

Yes they are very easy, most Skeletons spawn with Gunpowder Barrels so it's just a chain reaction, otherwise you can use Ship cannons of Firebombs

I usually will just go to the devil's roar and run order of souls missions there the volcanoes and geysers will help you kill the skeletons and of course I just cancel any mission that doesn't have at least three skeletons on offer on 1 island

For gold horder I become emissary go to fortress get loot sell go back to fortress 3 times it resets just before I finish selling loot I then become emissary 5 and do a vault most of the time I'm solo

Did a skeleton fort, fort of fortune, 3 ashen winds events, 3 fort of the dammed, and sold all gems and skulls to OOS. 3 levels😑

If you reach level 5 in any emissary, except reaper, you'll receive a special voyage that you claim by visiting the NPC related to that alliance. These voyages are very generous and usually easy to complete.

@@_fire_fox_1152I believe merchant is 20 cargo crates, and Order of Souls is several map locations with Skeletons that only drops villainous skulls, they also mostly spawn with kegs, so it's more of a skull giveaway that actual challenge

I mostly hop for skelly fleets, instant lvl 5 OoS.

I'm not a game designer, but here's what would (probably) fix the Order of Souls: 1. Give emissary grade for defeating regular ghost ships. 2. Make every ghost ship drop skulls. 3. Make loot gathered from ghosts unsinkable. Side note: Loot stolen from sunken kingdom should be unsinkable too. Both can be explained by magic.

Do you need a coral bottle to enter a shrine or is it for the breath of the sea?

A coral bottle is only for the breath of the sea which is a bonus. You can enter a shrine at anytime
