Fast Lap using VBOX Sport at Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) - Stock 370Z

Fastest lap at Atlanta Motorsports Park.
This event was with SCCA Track Night in America on 9/29/2015. Also my first time driving at AMP. There are many blind corners due to elevation changes, and turn 16 can be dangerous since it's bumpy (watch the accel meter), off camber and blind.
I was driving my NEAR STOCK 370Z. Only performance adding mods are Koni shocks, front sway bar, cat-back exhaust and K&N drop in filters. I was also on stock wheels and street tires, Michelin Pilot Super Sport.
I was driving as fast as possible with a few exceptions. I was not VERY hard on brakes because I don't have race pads. I didn't want fading after one great lap. In the 370Z, it's best to shift near redline, however, I didn't always do this so I would not stress the engine and, in some increasing radius turns, because the full power couldn't be applied yet anyway. My shifts were not extremely quick because I've had my clutch fluid boil before and I'd rather avoid that. Corner 15/16 I never pushed it -- you exceed the limit at all in that corner and you're in the wall. I basically drove the tighter line since my speed was reduced, this way I didn't lose as much.
I used my VBOX Sport GPS to data log (20Hz). Notice how accurate the acceleration and speed are. Throttle position was logged with Harry's Laptimer which is not as precise as the VBOX.

I have a question, how much do you pay for the use of the track to practice and is it by hour?
Awesome. love it. great driving. Super jealous of your Vbox sport. Also after seeing your vid, I need to lower my height for the gopro a little. I think mine sits too high. I'm on Stoptech street performance brake. They held up for HPDE? Last time, I didn't have such good time on them.

+TheUnicornblood I was on Stoptech pads, but I don't recommend them for the 370Z. The stock brakes perform just as good or better with less dust. They were definitely holding me back. Next track day I will have carbotech.

its an amazing combo i had on my S2000 but beware of squeaking on the road, it sounds like your car is a piece of junk at low speed braking. I ended up taking them ff and using Tarox at the front which are offering same bite when hot (long lasting resistance not he track) but less bite when cold. but at least they are not squeaking
which software did u use to overlay the info on your video?

How do you connect a camera to the VboxSport?

Farhan Al Bastaki -- The camera and gps run independently. Afterwards I overlay the data file on the video using Racerender 3. Syncing it takes a few minutes, but it's not that bad.
hi! can you tell me if the GForce is recorded by the VBOX or the phone ?

The g-force is calculated by the VBOX and is pretty actuate due to the 20hz refresh rate. The phone was only used to gather throttle % data via OBD2 which is not as accurate but good enough.

+rotarypower86 thanks! How to you manage to sync the ODB and the Vbox I assume you cannot connect to both deviced at the same time.

+NeoJFK the VBOX saves a file (.vbo) to its sd card. Then I use racerender3 to add the gauges and sync the data.

Lat. and Long. g force is calculated by speed in Vbox sport and pbox and driftbox. May be not video vbox. It's not the best choice for signal interference always being there and will be amplified by the calculation ( dV/dt )
