Using the boat for personal recreation , does the owner need a licensed captain or can he skipper the yacht himself as owner operator ? U.S. citizen also ( if that matters)

how do they get them from italy to the bahamas? some ofthese types of boats are over 100' long, but only have 900 nautical mile range. Do they tow them?

They transport them on a large semi submersible transporter. The transporter's deck is submerged & the "yacht" is floated over designed cradles then the transporter is refloated with the "yacht" in the cradle on deck. When the "toy boat" arrives the procedure is reversed.
