Love that you chose Project Linus! It is my charity of choice also.
Thank you so much from Project Linus!!!
Quilters respond quickly in times of crisis. Fabric Cafe was instrumental in providing several patterns so that quilters could become responders in a time of need after the May, 2022, Robb School tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. The Quilts of Grace Shop in Uvalde reached out. The shop asked for quilts to help the Uvalde community heal. Two quilters in Claude, Tx, quickly made 4 quilts with Three Yard Patterns for the children. These quilts were distributed as a measure of comfort. Thank you, Fabric Cafe for your part in this time of need. May the quilts provide a blessing to the community in this difficult time.

Thank you! Where can I find requirements for Project Linus quilts?
Donna and all at Fabric Cafe, what a beautiful thing to do girls, all of you. To bring a smile and a cuddle in the shape of a beautiful quilt to children that could do with that cuddle. I have just about finished my 2nd quilt, but my first i made for my autistic grandson who is non verbal, and i made it so that when he gets upset or is fustrated at not being understood, he can cuddle into his double bed sized Toy Story quilt. You are giving all these children that hug and understanding with every quilt that is used. Crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland

YAY for Project Linus, I have been quilting for them for over a year now. I'm so happy you picked them for your donations.
Another coordinator here! Thank you so much for raising awareness about Project Linus and providing simple, easy-to-follow instructions to make beautiful quilts. My very first quilt was from one of Donna's 3 Yard Quilt books, and I've donated several to Project Linus over the years. I love how the quilts you make aren't just for infants. Since we donate blankets to kids up to 18 years old, it's great to see patterns for quilts suitable for teenagers.

We're so glad our patterns are going to such good use! Thanks for sharing, Eleanor! 😊
Our Naples (Florida) Quilters' Guild makes and donates Comfy Quilts to our local Child Advocacy Center. We just found out the Center suffered extensive damage during Hurricane Ian. Not only did they lose their office, many of the quilts they had waiting to be gifted to children in need were destroyed or damaged as well. So our Guild certainly has our work cut out for us over the next weeks and months. Thank you for the encouragement and inspiration.
As a Project Linus Coordinator for my county, I can't thank you enough for easy kids patterns. We get some amazing quilts from talented volunteers and I often recognize your patterns. When someone starting out wants a simple pattern to sew, I recommend they start with a fabric café pattern. Kids just LOVE getting these lap quilts!

I feel slightly overwhelmed and was thinking of reaching out to PL. A neighborhood boy and his 3 younger siblings moved away but then a month later he moved in with his dad and his siblings who have a different dad moved in with him. So the younger ones are not even living with their mom or dad. I don’t know all of the situation but offered to send them quilts. Asked permission from his step mom and she had one child so now I get to make 5 quilts. I don’t mind buying the fabric but wondered if anyone local to southeast WA would like to help as I am a very beginner
I love what your donating to “Linus”. I am one of many people who help label the quilts and I make quilt and knit blankets. So thank you again

Love that you showed all easy quits today!
I came across your you tube videos at the beginning of October. I used your cancer awareness free pattern this week to make a quilt to donate to a child battling brain cancer.. The ribbon color for the particular cancer is purple and yellow. I wish I could attach a picture to show you. Thank you so much for that quick pattern you came up with. Im hooked on your patterns.I’m currently making others using the 5 new fabric cafe quilt books I just bought. I bought 2 when I discovered you and ordered 3 more books last week. I can’t help myself. Maybe Santa will bring me your new book that came out.

I love making charity quilts. Next batch goes to Quilts Beyond Borders...hoping to send out a little healing to our troubled world.
Just donated 19 lap quilts to our local Veteran Residence home for Valentines. We donated them from our local Elks Lodge. I called the project, “Giving Back the Love” for Valentines.

How wonderful of you, Terry! Thanks for all of the work you're doing for the community 💜💜
I love your challenge! I'm a blanketeer for the Tyler, TX chapter. I've only made fleece blankets so far, but want to make quilts now since I've learned.
Love your patterns for donation quilts, I have donated 47 quilts so far this year. My goal is 52, which I should meet, as I have 4 in process and several in the planning stage. Most go to project linus.

Yes, great donation quilt patterns - I can hardly make a choice but since I have every book (except the new one!) I’m ready to go! My quilt guild donates about 20 quilts a year to the local Children’s Advocacy Center and, this year we added over 100 Christmas stockings for the kids - which we will continue to do,along with the quilts as the stockings were so much fun!!!!!
Purple is also the color for Epilepsy. I don't mind admitting I have it, but there is such a negative stigma that many people hide it. I don't know if we and Alzheimer's are both purple since we are both neurological. 💜💜💜💜 Thanks for all you lovely ladies do💜

Thank you to all your children and grandchildren for their service!
I am a slow sewist, and I have 12 quilts to make for kids who are permanent residents at a mission here in Mexico. They live in a place with no insulation and no heat (as do I), so when it is 47 ° outside it is 47 degrees in the house. These kids arrived with pretty much nothing. Some local charities gave out blankets, but in winter, one isn't enough. They come from rough backgrounds. I'd like to make them something colorful that is especially for them, but I have to do it fast. I appreciate seeing these ideas. I'm something of a beginner, but I think I can tackle these with my stash. By the way, there is no cotton to be had here in Mexican fabric stores. Everything is polyester.
I have Charity sewn for children for over 20+ years. Since I've discovered your patterns, that is all I use. Thanks!
I am part of a group of quilters in the township of Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Canada and we make quilts for the 2 sites of our local hospital. At its discretion the hospital gives the quilts to palliative patients and patients having chemotherapy or kidney dialysis treatments. The quilts are well received and help to put a smile on a patient.

What a wonderful project! Hospitals are so cold, I'm sure everyone that is lucky enough to receive one cherishes them. 💜
I lost my husband in July to Prostate Cancer after many years of fighting it. I love that you mentioned that specifically with the kit #8022520 . I plan to order that kit and donate it in his memory. I have also done Linus Project for years and have kits ready for that donation. Thank you for all you all do in bringing quilts and people together!!

You are all a special group of people. Love your videos and what you do.
"My" quilt guild donates to our local Project Linus. Last year was just over one a day! This year, we have exceeded the 365 and October isn't even done! So proud of "my" guild. I try to focus on the 40x60 size for teen boys, but I sometimes veer to others.

Love all the patterns/kits.
Thank you, most sincerely, for sharing with your viewers how Fabric Cafe--as a company and as individuals--are using your talents and dedicating your time and resources to make the children in our world feel cherished: literally. warmer on the inside and the outside. This episode has truly demonstrated how each corporation can make a difference by showing leadership in the area of community service and how we each can become happier, stronger people one act of kindness at a time. I have found that whenever I try to help others I ended feeling like I am the one who was helped the most. Thank you for providing guidance in how we can personalize our quilts to better communicate the love, encouragement, and hope being sent.
After the holidays…..I would like to make some lap quilts for veterans in wheelchairs, but will not have time to get that done before X-mas. We are in Canada right now, returning home to Florida November 3, after we get home I will have to get going…..HA!
Such great causes to donate to. Thank you ladies!

So glad you chode Project Linus - as a member of the Westchester-Rockland Chapter I use your patterns all the time - and in fact am putting binding on "Simply Blocks" from 3 yard quilt for kids. My chapter likes smaller quilts, so I just downsize your patterns a bit.
Thank you, our local hospice house is asking for veteran quilts and blankets for Veterans Day ❤

Can you please tell me what the finished quilt measurements are for the dinosaur quilt, my grandson loves dinosaurs…..also the fabric that comes for the quilt, does it cover the back too or wouldI have to purchase extra fabric for the back. I am sorry to be such a « nut » but I am very new at this, I have sewed before but never quilted….I think I could make an easy one and maybe try to quilt as you go? Would that be possible for this quilt? Thank you very much for the information. Here’s hoping I can do this!
@FabricCafe
Жыл бұрын
Hi Mickey! The dinosaur quilt measures approx. 50" x 50", they may very slightly depending on seams. The fabric included in the quilt kit will make a finished quilt top, including borders & binding. Extra fabric for backing will need to be purchased, or used from your stash. We have additional fabric available for backing that we pick just for you if you would like, just select the "add a coordinating backing" option and we'll take care of it. Our patterns are not written in the "quilt as you go" method, but if you are comfortable with that process you can definitely give it a try!
what is the quilt number for the Simply Strips that is done in pink and navy floral? I love the fabrics which I see for girls?

Hi Marilyn! We no longer have this quilt kit in stock. However you may be able to find yardage on Google through another retailer? The fabric line is Michael Miller Fabrics called Dancing Daisy from the Kiss the Cook collection. We used the "black" daisy and the "pear" daisy. Hope that helps in your search!
