You can certainly get a LS swap done in Japan, it'll be a pain in the ass and your road tax will skyrocket, but it's not impossible. Also, the engine isn't that expensive to buy from the US or Canada in a crate.

Happy Smisbu Remember Japan taxes cars based on displacement. The engine may burn cleaner than a 13B, but it drinks an awful lot more fuel, the low torque won't increase fuel economy, and the paperwork you mentioned is mostly related to getting your swap certified safe for road use.

Really love the rear-end of that drug dealer FC lmao, and oh my god you met Daijiro-san, I still remember his JUN option stream Zs like it's yesterday, still my favorite tuned Z33 of all time, bloody legend.

Actual heaven, rotary everywhere. That grey RX-3, FC's, FD's, RX-8's and general awesome cars right next to THAT road - awesome vid Alexi, thoroughly enjoyed.

Gets a copyright strike - not for the Eurobeat, but for "Ka-chow!". That RX-3 though is super tasty.

To each their own but why the heck would you put a miata/roadster engine in an RX-7!?

Oh man I'd love that rotary Luce! The HC Luce/929 hardtop is one of my favourite cars for some reason. There used to be an average condition one on my street and I always meant to go and offer them like $500 for it and see what happened, but I never got around to it, then one day it was gone :(

Tragedy is it probably went for scrap, I've done it myself to some I shouldn't have long ago. I once cut up an EG hatch for the $350 the steel brought in scrap value, a shame now
