Remember when cars like the S2000 making ~100hp/liter was super impressive? I always think about that when I read about these Merc 4 bangers. turbo v na I know, but still.

Don't get me wrong it's impressive, but the SR20 is easily capable of that kind of power and that's a 30yo engine

@@Zaxstar007 ye but to do it without much issues, being able to sprint on the nordschleife without overheating or any issues, just being able to use it as a daily is pretty impressive to me.

The camera mount on the seat is WAY better than on the windshield to see the elevation changes! Thanks for doing this!

As far as hot hatches go this is up there. Comfortable, fast, good looking. This particular one would be a great compromise between road and track use.

STFU...:) I bought one too about eight days ago. Brand new 2023 GLA 45. 4k USD under MSRP. What a machine. I do not know how they tuned it. I guess they have to bench flash the ECU/hardware hack to be able to tune it. 490hp is impressive for just a tune.

I think it is because the car has a predictable range and it is adjusted by your driving probably it couldn’t catch up by how flat out misha was driving haha

Hi Misha, thanks for the reply. My friend has an AMG 45S and want's to make similar upgrades as on the one from your video, we were on a Grobnik track, car is fast, too heavy and too soft. My opinion is, that changing many parts (suspension, uniballs, bushes, brakes ) will be costly...because as another option we have an older BMW 135 (already stripped, partly modified...) and to finish that one would be probably cheaper than AMG, and probably BMW would be faster and less costly at the end. If nothing else cca 500 kg lighter than the AMG-that should also make a huge difference. Thanks for your opinion, you helped a lot.

what a beast! i love how the computer is screaming 50 KM/H and you just "cruising" at 190km/h. Sadly here on Brazil this car costs 88.242,84 Euro or 106748.68 us dollars...

While maybe soft, I thought the front of the car looked really complaint and in control - with the additional front camber now on the car, I would install 10mm, or more if it fits, front spacers to widen the front track - it will help on turn-in. When the Cayman first came out, without a dry-sump, those engines would grenade on high-G long sweepers.

I don't think they knew in 1997 when they started with A series this would be the result... but man o man what a sexy car!

I bought a 2014 CLA 45 AMG a while back, fucking love it. Only had 52k miles and got it for a steal. Thing is rated at 355 hp from the factory(I've heard it's slightly underrated), bought a tune to get it up to 426 HP. Planning on getting a full bilstien suspension set up, the factory suspension is pretty good, but seems a bit soft when you get up there, especially under hard braking. Lots of nose dive. It's insane how potent this engine is though, and I love the sounds it makes. Car feels well balanced overall too, have to push it pretty hard to get understeer, and hoping the suspension will help get rid of that a bit more.

Car is a bit bumpy from only the spring upgrade it seems, making it a little nervous? Should go with a quality JRZ or Ohlins suspension. Great drive again!

u still had esp-sports, you can turn this off too by holding down esp for a few seconds to almost completely off, colision control can be adjusted for closer rather than longer detection, in system settings can be tuned.

Random fun fact: fastest registered car in Serbia is a 1450hp opel corsa with 3.0 engine in the rear.

So its eibach pro kit springs with standard dampers and adjuatable top mounts?

Damn, quick, isn't it? Topped 250km/h around Schwedenkreuz (I think that's the first decent straight?) isn't exactly shabby, LOL. Don't know how the remap may have affected the gauges, but the greatest Kw I saw was about 328-330, so 440hp and not 490. Still a pretty bonkers number for a street legal 2 litre engine. Torque was regularly ~530nm, which is equally crazy. As for the instruments, I found the 'boost' rather pointless without numbers. I also found it made seeing the RPM much more difficult. Having the tacho fill up rather than a single rather anaemic line I believe would be a much better look. It could be possible to change them, as I believe that's the case in some Mercs(?), but don't know. I'm just raising little points; of course I'd love to have it in my garage. Cheers

Very stable at speed......Does not jump around like a Porsche 911 GT2-3.

I don't like all these electronics interfering :) I drove an a200 last week for a couple of days , offcourse not really the same like this car but still , it gives you an idea.

My opinion ist that the pov head go pro is better 🥰

The boardcomputer says only ~323kw i know my E55 AMG has 350kw Stock (476hp) so it needs to be a bit lower like ~450 hp on that conditions for a 2 litre still awesome, but imagine if this engine would make the full Power 😱

Now if koenigsegg can just ask you to drive one of there cars on the nurburgring just for R&D that would be great
