Fast And Furious' 1970 Dodge Charger R/T - Drag Race!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Here is one of the Dodge Charger R/T used by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) in the scenes of the famous film "The Fast And The Furious". Now this car belong to an italian muscle-car collector who decided to test its potentiality on the Rivanazzano's dragstrip only for this time due to its elevated value!

It’s insane to think that this was one of the cars actually used on screen in the 1st movie. Mad props to the owner for actually taking it out to the strip and making badass runs too.
69/ 70 dodge charger is the best looking car ever built, nothing comes close to it's beauty an visual attraction... it is so right. I love this car so much.

This guy doesn't know how to drive his charger. He's granny shifting and not double clutching like he should.
It still has that Chrysler starter sound. Love it.

That's how you can tell it's an original. That Chrysler starter.
Ask any racer any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by a inch or a mile. Winnings wining. -Dom Toretto
The advance on this thing has to be crazy.
I love classic American muscle there is always something about the look and sound that just makes me want one
in caze anyone is wondering. This charger IS one of two they built for the Fast and Furious movie. This car was used in the garage scene when Dom is talking about his dad. The car used at the end just had a 383 stroker and the supercharger was actually welded to the hood and was fake.

The car might have been used in the garage scene but it's been changed since the movie, the one in the garage scene had a 57-58" model Chrysler 392 hemi with a 6-71 blower that had manual fuel injection. The new owner has fully restored the car and put a new aluminum 528 blown hemi in it that has electronic fuel injection, the stunt cars had 440 Mopar engines in them I think one might have had a 383 but it was a Chrysler big block engine not a 383 stroker that's a Chevy engine. And before everyone starts saying well that's wrong they used Chevy LS engines "NO its not wrong they used those in the 4th movie not the first.
@jburner4299

They had 4 for themovie. Hero, two stunt cars, one of which was the wheelie car, last was the rollover car. This is the actual hero car with new functioning engine. Original hero car did not run.

Okay to clear this all up - The Dom's Charger from the original 2001 was a fake supercharged car because the budget back in 2001 could not afford to do it - it was just eye candy. For the anniversary movie back in 2011 or so, whenever that was, the car was given a full teardown and rebuilt as a real supercharged car, used in the movie, and then sold at an auto auction in PA. Based on the description the uploader posted on this video, it must be the same one.

@@jeremywillis6122 Mopar's smallest big block was a 383. It was a low-deck hight "B" engine (along with the 400) while the 413, 426 and 440s with their taller deck hight were "RB" engines.
I was expecting for it to do a wheely. Like in the movie

I love all cars, from a 1,000 horsepower Camaro to a riced out Civic with no engine mods besides a fart can, as long as the driver loves his ride. That said.. nothing can match the sound of a V8 with a lumpy cam.

TheAcePool I've seen cars do that on street only half way. My cousins 1970 challenger and 1969 camaro rs. Both drag along 8mile road in Detroit way back in the 1980s very late at night empty street. My cousin and other driver are good friends both drag pro stock at Milan in Michigan they did that sometimes for extra cash or other guys engine. My father was their spotter, when I was a teenager.

***** That doesn't make sense. A burnout is caused by loss of traction, and a wheelie comes from having high traction under high power. If the tires are spinning, there shouldn't be any traction to lift the car up.
That's what a real car sounds like

Bella macchina
MattyB!!!!
As much as I like that final race in the first f&f, the hard reality is that the 70 Charger won unlike what the movie makes you think, that Supra weights heavier than the Charger. The Supra in the movie had a full interior No Drag slicks in the movie the Supra would have around 600-650 horse power without NOS. The Charger in the movie had a fiberglass hood that used hood pins, the driver & passenger side windows were replaced with plexiglass & the entire interior had been stripped so one person can sit, It also a 526 cubic inch alcaholel injected superchargered hemi that produced 900 horsepower without NOS On a good day with a good driver the 70 Charger would pull between low or mid 9 seconds in the Qaurter mile, The Supra on a good day with good driver can get at least 10 seconds in the Quarter mile With NOS probubly low 9 seconds American Muscle wins XD

You're blessed.
I m Italian and I did t know there were any drag racing in Italy.. and after this video, I guess there are more muscle cars collector in Italy than I thought, my only question is I rarely see muscle car in Italy, i see more muscle car in UK even if they have reverse drive, and lot muscle car in Scandinavian Russia, where the price of the petrol is very expansive as well, and why Italian automotive did not build old school engines slightly smaller adaptable to any mopar muscle car from 60/ 70s like a slant six cylinder 2,8/ 2,5 liter or 2 liters six-cylinder or 4 cylinders, so to reduce the cost for petrol,
