According to reports, the US is planning to move ahead with a $1 billion arms deal for Israel. The weapons package will include the transfer of tank ammunition, tactical vehicles and mortar rounds. This comes even though the US had earlier paused a shipment of bombs to Israel. It had cited opposition to the weapons being used in Rafah.
