mashAllah it was beautiful to learn about your story sister Shariffa. I am also an American convert, who has been Muslim for 2 years or so. May Allah bless you with goodness and allow you to enter the highest ranks of Jannah. Your story and among others just shows us how Allah guides whom he chooses and He is the best of planners.

AlhamduLillah. May ALLAH give hidayat to all sisters to adopt and practice Islam in its true colour. Hijab with Niqab is a fundamental requirement and must not be mistaken as optional.

Sister Shariffa?! I hope you see this and are able to respond In Shaa Allah ta'aala. How is the sister in the video? She used to have an amazing channel called SunnahFollowers and by the permission of Allah it was through her videos and dawa that I learned to love niqab. I sent her an email to the gmail she used, but I haven't heard back. I am genuinely worried about her, is she okay??

And then I have this deep feeling that I wanna give you a big hug ,thank you and say سبحان من هداك.🌺 Believe me I pray to Allah day & night to guide you to wear gloves and veil for those beautiful hands and eyes . Because you are precious💖 P.S. : you can at least narrow the eye opening or pierce the gloves at fingertips to be more comfortable.

I am sorry, but when moving to a Muslim country, one must adapt to the local laws and cultural norms, which sometimes includes wearing a headscarf or niqab. This is necessary to avoid potential legal consequences such as fines or arrests. Similarly, it is important to respect the local laws and cultural norms when living in a Western country. Integration does not mean giving up one's cultural identity but finding a respectful exchange and adaptation to the fundamental values and laws of the host country. Wearing religious symbols can be interpreted differently in various countries. In some Western countries, there are regulations in place to uphold human dignity and prevent discrimination and sexism. It is important to respect these regulations and engage in a dialogue about integration that considers both individual rights and freedoms as well as societal values. If it is difficult to align with the cultural and legal requirements of a country, it might be worth considering alternatives. This could mean moving to a country whose culture and values align better with one's own beliefs and traditions. The key is to foster a respectful and constructive approach that leads to a harmonious and integrated community.

Women dress for other women. We males are just small side role for that. If not with the usual clothes then with hijabs etc because that has happened as well. Natural mind set is very difficult to het rid of no matter what you believe

Alot of people mock the true Muslims' behaviors and morals as the latter display the true belief in Allah, but the mockers represent those who defy Allah. That's it!

The point isn’t the choice - which frankly most Muslim women have (except in Saudi - which is changing) The point is that anyone who calls them self a Muslim should not be mocking the religious wear of a Muslim woman. And in Kuwait, where it happened, it is a choice.

It isn't about being "educated" or not. It is about viewing themselves as objects to be covered or that the issue is them and not the criminal assholes that can't control their disgusting urges. Why this vilification of women to this extent? Why don't men do the same and cover up? Well religion is man-made as in literally men that made it and projected their own ideas to others and called their own words divine.

  • @shariffacarloalandalusia4492

QuantumQ80 you don’t believe in God. That is your right. We believe in God. That is our right. We also believe that women have a responsibility to protect themselves . Hijab is a form of protection. In the United States, a place where women are free to wear whatever they want, women are sexually molested all the time. I have been on both sides of the veil and I can attest to the fact that it has changed the way men act with me and has very much protected me. You don’t have to agree. You don’t have to practice Islam, but you DO have to respect me and my choices.

Shariffa Carlo Al Andalusia did I say that you shouldn't believe in god? Did I even say it wasn't your right? The hijab is a form of protection? I'm sorry but living in the middle east for all my life showed me that whether you wear a hijab or not doesn't change the fact that disgusting criminal assholes won't molest anyone. You might have found it made you more comfortable, but wouldn't it be more comfortable to be in a society that respects women to not objectify them, to not blame them for being molested because they didn't "wear something modest"? Why go defensive and demand respect? Why do you even care what other people think of you? Do you need confirmation to your own views that you feel the need to demand respect from others? I respect everyone's right to free speech, whatever that message is. I also retain the right to criticize whatever anyone says. Women are molested a whole lot more in the middle east whether they are "covered" or not. It is much less reported because the law usually won't stand on their side, and because of bullshit preached by people that blame the victims for the crime that happened to them and absolve the criminal from anything. Let's not forget the so-called family that vilifies their daughters into thinking they are the problem, meanwhile they encourage their sons to be who they are and never hold their urges because "Your a man!" If what I just depicted is your position, then by all means, I do not respect you or your ideals.

QuantumQ80 I understood that you don’t believe in God by your saying that religion is man-made. At any rate, what you are describing isn’t Islam. It is ignorant Muslims and non-Muslims alike who ignore what is in the holy books on this matter. Islam isn’t the actions of Muslims, it is the religion described in the Quran and the authentic Hadith of the Prophet. Hijab is indeed a protection but it is doomed to failure by ignoring that which goes with it, which includes our personal behavior, our choices of where to be and who to be with and of course - a strong Muslim government that upholds the laws of Allah, not the culture of a society or the whims of mere men. The misogynistic tendencies of many so called muslim nations isn’t islam - and we need to educate ourselves about what Islam truly is or we will lose our Deen, our lives & our afterlives. It is one reason i am grateful that I came to Islam from outside - I left my cultural baggage behind me and learned my Deen from the sources. That’s why my Deen isn’t affected by the evil or bad behavior of the people and governments around me. I know what ISLAM is and I practice it for me. It’s between me & my Lord. What others do is irrelevant. It’s also why I defend the practices Allah Commanded - even if everyone who practices them isn’t perfect. The Deen is perfect. Allah is perfect. We are all far from perfect.
