Before her shitty dramas, I thought of her as confident, funny, and easy-going. She and Harry were on their way to becoming a good couple. It was a breath of fresh air for Royal. the yellow dress is the exact same dress Michelle Obama wore prior to that event. She was trying to be Michelle's new BFF at that moment. She was offered a rather large staff including stylists. But, hey, Meg knows more about everything about everything than anyone else in the entire planet

This just proves that she would’ve been fine if she just stuck to the office wardrobe of Rachel Zane for her royal work. Bright, clear colours (none of the muddy Khaki and olive tones she loves so much), clean lines, well fitted and she’d been golden. Her body might be more challenging to dress than say Catherine’s, but over all she still has a great body with much less challenge than most of us. It took effort to mess it up.

I so agree with you. I have looked at her Suits wardrobe often, for reference, and she looked so good. I often wonder why she didn’t take inspiration from those looks! I would die for a stylist and a hair and makeup team and all the those people that I’m sure she had/has access to. But that may be a topic for another video 🤪

……think because of her ‘boxy’ shape, & to counter her wide shoulders’, she’s got to ‘balance’ herself. She’s never been a ‘sportswoman’. I’m 5’9” tall, with 23” broad shoulders’, thanks to being a champion swimmer, tennis, netball player, & various disciplines’ of equitation. So I take ‘big steps’, always have done so.

My mother was a seamstress who could sew anything and did, but supported her five children as a single mother by tailoring expensive off-the-rack clothing for well-heeled women whose body-types did not conform to fashionable forms of the 50s and 60s (i.e., almost *all* women). Plus, Ms Kelly is a near doppelgänger for my dearest niece, who is herself a professional stylist.

Now i can say had these outfits been Nordstrom, or H&M something more affordable and she was just your average woman then NO ONE would be saying anything. Its the facts that one these looks were costing the taxpayers 10's of 1000's of pounds AND the fact she had cery educated and experienced staff to help her AND seamstresses and tailors basically at her beck and call to make sure these over priced pieces of art work were displayed well and appropriately. THATS WHY PPL ARE SO MIFFED. Spending 12k on a simple outfit is bad enough but to have it bunch and hang like a potato sack from the kitchen that was stuffed in a bag with others for months and just thrown on to go to obviously important engagements really didn't set well.

There’s always something off. Wrong outfit for an event. Wrinkled or poor fit. Too little or too much for an event. So, never. Not even in her wedding day.

I even thought it was neat that she was a woman of color because I thought it was a good symbol of the progress of the British monarchy and society as a whole, and I don't typically care about people's race. It is noticable that the best looks she had was when she still had a stylist within the RF. The disasters started when she decided she knew better and wanted to be some kind of fashion icon.

Re: standing away from groups: Some people do that. I photographed a wedding and had to act like a border collie walking in circles around the groups to get everyone in frame!

All of these looks, which genuinely are good outfits for her, were in the first couple of years of her royal association. It’s almost like she felt compelled to accept advice and assistance at first, before her natural inclination took over to blow off all outside input and raise a sartorial middle finger. Thanks for the balanced perspective!

She is 5’6”. When you compare her next to Princess Catherine, both in heels, she is always about 3” shorter, which makes sense. I like most the dark Givenchy pant suite. I agree the padded shoulders work for the reasons you say, but also because her dark hair is down so the shoulders are obscured somewhat. I really like this style on her. The jacket is fabulous and the pants lovely. I’m the same height as her but I am hourglass shaped. Maybe I could wear something similar….but not as expensive! Great video as always.

Once again, Beebs, your analyses are excellent. Meghan’s yellow sheath dress: she wasn’t happy to be doing what was expected of her that day. I don’t recall when she wore this dress, but I bet it coincided with a period of turmoil and tension between her and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, because she was clearly channeling Wallis Simpson, who was photographed wearing an almost identical dress. What better way to antagonize the Queen than by reminding her of the woman whom her mother loathed and blamed for the early death of King George VI.

I’m 5’10” and the only time I take strides like she, is when I am walking a course at a horse show trying to figure out the space between jumps. I wish she would take shorter strides and pay attention to the way she stands. Like the dark pant suit; she looks very nice. I really appreciate how kind and diplomatic you are. 😊😊😘😘🥰

I think she looks really good in sheath dresses; they’re ideal for her figure. I like all the outfits you chose here - even the pants suit (Meg in a pair of pants that actually fit her?!?).

I like the analyses from the technical aspect. I enjoy fashion tips/tricks, why it fails, how to fix it, etc. Same with home interior design. I think meghan has delusions about who she is and how she looks, and no one can give her advice. She's never wrong....about anything.

I believe that since she was still trying to act like she WANTED to be there she was listening to the advice of stylist and staff. You can start to see how her 'moods' shift by watching how her hairstyles and clothing choices changed. At the beginning, before the wedding and very shortly after, she was looking like she was trying to fit in..but sometimes wanted to feel more herself by the tendrils of hair or the trench coat..ect. its not until about a week into the Australian visit that we start to see the shift. Now i have ALWAYS believed that coming back to America was in her plans. But in order to get to the end zone she had to play just with in the rules so that no one called an 'audible ' on her. She did just enough push back to see it as a misguided attempt or a lapse in judgment not a push back. Am i making my self clear? Edit: to the public. Im sure she was being a handful and a half to the staff and family well before the wedding. Wedding planning is a ship show even on a small one let alone the massive ordeal she had. So ppl may have said "give her a break. Its a huge deal. This is no ordinary wedding...yada yada." But after the wedding she had gotten 'comfortable ' being , well herself. And that at that point it was all for public consumption ...but a few weeks in, like the week into the Australian trip, it became to much for her to play nice even for the optics of the public persona. After that it was Katy bar the doors, hell for leather and outta my way...

You are a very nice person to find nice things to say about a person who has shown her contempt for many people and things that could have made her a more relatable and nicer person.

The black suit would have looked much more appropriate with the dark flats she popped on with the white dress. The brand or price of the suit doesn’t make it inappropriate, the shoes do imo. The flats would “dress it down” just enough to be appropriate. She’s also damaging the turf with those heels and it annoys me.

OK, so I loved the pantsuit. And she's one of the few people who look good in yellow. I would've gone matchy-matchy and done yellow shoes to match, but what do I know?? I just don't get high spiked heels when you know you're going to be walking on grass -- anyone whether Princess of Wales or Sophie or anyone -- why spiked heels on grass?? I think the reason her earlier outfits were among the best is because she was probably "bedazzled" at the idea that she could spend that kind of money, and she was still listening to a stylist or expert. Maybe I'm wrong, but in the early days, she seemed almost as if she was paying attention and learning.

First of all, I am loving your hair, makeup and gorgeous top! Stunning. Yes, all of those early looks were among her best and the simplest. I've always liked the denim dress on her, the simple sheath dresses suited her well, and the killer black suit. Perfectly tailored jacket (which I think would have looked infinitely better over the white dress instead of that flappy too long trench). I love love love a cigarette leg trouser - not too tight, not too big, but just right! If I was her, I'd have had multiples of these basics made up, and worn them as a kind of staple working woman's wardrobe. And then allowed the focus to be on the event instead. But she didn't😢

Regarding the first outfit, the group photograph is with our Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove at their residence on Sydney Harbour. Meghan had allegedly screamed abuse at the lovely Lady Cosgrove and threw hot tea at a staff member (allegedly), as well as (allegedly) complaining that they were only given a wing of the house. Possibly that’s why there is distance in the photo? The GG appears to be leaning away from her! Off topic I know but I felt a possible explanation might be warranted! BTW, the white dress did look lovely! 👋 from Australia 🦘🇦🇺

I feel like the white dress in Australia might have been her actually taking the advice of her royal staff, but then she didn't get the amount of attention she wanted and was also reportedly throwing a fit about "not getting paid" and having to work too much so she decided to go with her own "style."

Yep. If you see her next to other people it's obvious that she's short. What throws people off in photos are the abnormally long legs, and enormous shoulders, which look like they should be on a much taller body!

I think she looked best in the yellow dress, and the tailored suit. She should have gotten those in *every* color, added in a couple pairs of really fabulous jeans, and mixed\matched and accessorized the heck out of all of it.

Could you follow a dresscode, if you have detailed instructions and unlimited funds to buy a new outfit every day and a paid for hairdresser and a make-up artist, whenever you need one? Congrats, you are already better than her.

My favorite of these looks is the black pantsuit and the blue denim dress. I think both are beautifully designed and fit her well. The denim dress is gorgeous and I don't even mind the rattan clutch since it's a casual, outdoor event. However I do think that a more casual shoe would have been better, maybe a wedge or something with a lower, chunkier heel, but over all she did a good job with that outfit. The first white dress was nice (nothing special, but for her that's an improvement) but the trench coat was awful. When she folded up the sleeves you could see the lining! She completely ruined the classy look she had going on. Enjoyed the video, as always.

She really has an issue with the shoes. Aside from the obvious (almost always too big), she seems to only go for expensive ones and rarely wears casual shoes. The number of times that woman wore high, thin heels to events on grass is mind boggling. I do wonder if it's because she has that instinct that fancy looks more expensive.

With Catherine for example, I either don't notice them (because they blend in) or they're nice enough that even I notice and admire them. I've been to that same polo event numerous times, often when the then Prince Charles was playing and our late Queen was spectating. ALL spectators, including Royalty, were expected to 'tread in' between the chukkas. Her ridiculous shoes would have been frowned upon! Harry would have known this!

It never ceases to amaze me how you are able to vocalize and pinpoint what is wrong or good about an outfit. I learn a lot! It would be so helpful if Meghan would bother to follow your advice sometimes 🎉 The thing is though, Meghan never ever looks royal. Even when she’s dressed for the occasion. I keep thinking about the beige suit that Catherine wore (and that you didn’t like much), even in a photo, to me she instantly looked regal and I’m quite certain that even if she had not been announced, she would’ve drawn the attention of everyone in the room. Isn't this interesting... all these looks are early in her time with the RF. Back when you know she was primarily working with stylists. The bad shoes could easily have been her changing it up after they hard her all set. I do agree with your choices. I do really like #2, the black dress.

The only cut I consistently like on her is a one-shoulder maxi dress. The diagonal cut lengthens the neck, slims the shoulders and elongates the waist by drawing the eye downward. So basically, everything she needs to correct, it corrects!

I was so glad you included the denim dress outfit because that was her best look for me. The next best was a black givency dress that a velvet triangle in the center. I was mentally high giving her for those choices.

No way. I am 5'7" and if I put on 4 to 5 inch heels I am almost as tall as a 6' man.

Yes!! Jessica had to be so frustrated watching her "friend" makes so many horrible fashion mistakes.

Re the Aussie white dress, note her body language. She has placed herself out of the group, so it's one group, and then her alone. It's looks as though she doesn't like them. I believe the GGs wife had words to her about her attitude.

She stood apart from the other in the white dress photo because she wanted to stand out and be noticed. Trying to stand out is her mo, e. g why she wore that atrocious olive green (iirc) outfit to Prince Louis's christening.

She’s 5’3”; can stretch to 5’4” if she stands up straight; add 6 inch heels, puts her at @ 5’9” - 5’10” in shoes , up against 6’1” inch H. ( so w usual 6 inch spike heels, she appears 3-4 inches shorter than her husband).

I once compared her in pictures to people of known height and came out with 5'3"-5'4".

I always look forward to your videos. The photos chosen reflect your comments so judicious. The subject chosen today demonstrates your impartiality. I never understood how these women could walk on the lawn in stiletto heels. I love your outfit today. It’s rare for a blonde to wear that color.

They do not walk on the lawn in stiletto heels. It ruins the grass. Take a look at the photos in the denim dress. The man behind her looks intently at her shoes and he is not happy.

Love all your work! I get the short person challenges (5 ft; husband 6'5"). I liked the black suit but the length of the sleeve made me crazy! This was the one time I liked that she pulled one sleeve up but it didn't look crumpled. Unfortunately, 1 sleeve was up & 1 down!😅😅

Amazing how she got it right at times, early in the day of Royal life. I noted that the Australian pic, she stood apart and in white so she stuck out. I am Australian, possibly our good sense rubbed off on her 😂. Great video Beebs I'm always interested in your expertise another one would be good. 👋

I just love how you’re making a video about the “best” outfits she’s worn but then we still find the worst parts about them.🤣 No matter what she’s can’t dress herself. If she will listen to people around her and take their advice she would do great.

Well done! These looks show why most people were so excited about her entrance into the royal family and were touting her as a new “style icon.” She really looked very pretty. Sadly, as her true character began to be revealed and Jessica Mulroney no longer helped her dress well, everything went downhill. Many have commented on how MM constantly rolls her sleeves up. I too have very long arms and legs with a shorter torso and I have instinctively rolled up my sleeves for years, just balances my body better. Beebs, do you know why that is?!

The white dress is perfect for her body type. When I find something that fits me like this, I go back and get one in each color that goes well with my complexion and hair. I may pair it with a jacket from the same collection in a complementary color. The blue dress at #1 is a home run. Again, I’d buy 4 or more in different colors if I found a dress that fit and looked so good.

So nice to see her not looking orange.

Black dress might have been nice if she followed the rule not to wear BLACK!

She wears white often. I admit as retired nurse I don't do white. She said she couldn't wear colors in RF? She doesn't wear many bright colors now.

The problem with This One's Wife is that she thinks she is a shape shifter and can fill perfectly any style and cut and make it fit by itself. Well, unless you are Princess Catherine, nobody can do that! And she is not even a shape shifter but smart and sensible! This One's Wife is never going to learn even basics: dress appropriately to the occasion! She can spend millions yet still only manage to show that money cannot buy class. Maybe next time she should wear a yacht as an accessory instead of jewelry.

I think her engagement interview dress was probably pretty good, although we mostly saw it with a coat.

The BLG proved she is 5’3. Not anywhere near 5’6 🤨

I've always said the Carolina Herrera denim dress was my favourite on her. I was hoping she would wear more of this brand. It suited her so well. Later on came the infamous red dress. I couldn't believe it was the same label . Maybe they got a new design team or something?

I'm five ft exactly too. Hubs is 6 feet. I'm going to be 70 next week and wear heels a lot when dressed up or even go to the movies. Have lots of great flats and sneakers and boots for real life. I do wear heels less now that retired but will wear them as long as I can. You do look lovely. You wear that mustard color well. Many of these choices were early on when she was still thick with Jessica Mulroney and it shows. Please tell us how she keeps the to big shoes on? I hate shoes that slop or make noise when I step. Do models use two sided tape in their shoes?

She really should go for sheath dresses and mid-waist, fit & flair dresses. Paired with appropriate undergarments, of course. As for her hair, simple (tendril-free) buns and low/high ponytails would work. Her hair texture makes it hard to pull off the whispy, ethereal look she's going for without the help of a professional hairstylist. I have frizzy, black hair myself. I've learned that simple, clean styles make this hair type look more elegant than if they were in an elaborate DIY coiffure.

Wasn’t her former bestie Jessica Mulroney a stylist? And her stylist? Prior to their falling out? Jessica Mulroney the daughter in law of the former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney- which is why I don’t buy the “I had no idea who Harry was” bs story/

What baffles me the most about the trench is why would you wear a trench if you're going to bunch up the sleeves?!! wouldn't it be better to wear a light jacket or cardigan?
