Her work is a depiction of a life between immense suffering, joy and neuroses. She may not be the most skillful painter but she sure is a good artist

I know Delta didn`t know that, but Jaymes actually crafted that costume :)

Raja is SO beautiful (as a man as well as a woman), and her ethnicity is so mutable and ambiguous that she can totally wear and pull off anthropological ensembles from around the world. She has such an incredible aesthetic eye for blending clothing, accessories, themes, colors, fabrics, and patterns together to create something new and fabulous. Now that I think about it, not that many queens (besides Raja and Kim Chi) try and incorporate traditional outfits from other cultures into their drag repertoires. We keep seeing all of these queens coming out in the same über-basic looks: catsuit with a corset; kimono and lingerie; ball gown with a fetish harness; dress with big-ass squared shoulder pads or chained epaulets; drapey black goth frocks with black tights and combat boots, peplum cocktail dresses with gigantic rhinestone earrings; or (the most lazy of all, in my opinion) a strappy bandage bathing suit with cutouts worn underneath a cropped fur coat. So many queens are wearing these utterly boring drag standards, even though there's an entire world of fashion to explore. I'd much rather see queens experiment with exotic outfits such as an embellished Indian sari or an Aztec queen; or an Inuit fur and suede mini-coatdress; or a Chinese empress or a Tudor duchess or an Egyptian princess. Hell, the flapper look of the 1920's is played-out as hell, and yet I'd much rather see a Daisy Buchanan or a Louise Brooks rather than the umpteenth queen to squeeze herself into a latex tube dress, just to look like everyone else. A lot of the young drag queens are starting to look like carbon copies of one-another. It's time to start actually being creative instead of simply blindly following whatever is trending on Instagram or Pinterest or Tumblr.

Literally Jaymes Mansfield was shat on all season, on and off the show when I thought she was always compelling and spectacular... Really feels like everybody wanted nothing but to tear her down... Still can't figure I out. Oh well Jaymes you're a cult classic. Not everyone can be cool in that way.

I love Nina's creativity and uniqueness, she's definitely bringing something fresh on the table..But - I'm so gonna get attack by the Sensitive Sally troop after this - i do notice that her make up is a bit...rough around the edges? Not just up-close, but even from afar. And the premier look... *long pause*

Yes, I appreciate the creativity, too, but the execution could use some work. The makeup does look rough and hastily done. Even in the Meet the Queens segments where she had the blue and purple look, as much as it was cool overall, up close you could see it was really messy and the paper cut outs she glued to her face looked like they were done really quickly.

I love Nina, she is so talented, she always has great ideas and concepts, it's just one of the great wonders of the world why she *refuses* to take 4 minutes and a blender to make it 1000% better and I can't deny that it really frustrates me

The thing with Nina's looks is that she takes an almost impressionistic approach to her makeup. Which works sometimes, but not always. If she could master blending she would be a force to be reckoned with.
