To Rajah's credit, she did make almost all of her garments, and spend significantly less on them compared to other queens. But yeah, her looks these past two weeks have been basic. I can't wait to see how they'd react to her two-piece for the tropical runway.

I was getting 90/00s vmas vibes honestly.

I just wish they explored the different subgenres there are when it comes to goth as fashion. I felt like Kylie was the only one who really jumped into one of the subgenres. All of the other goth looks just kinda reminded me of "Ooo Victorian! Lace!"

Tbh this runway is more like 'Gothic' rather than 'Goth' since they're two different things as I remember.

Now the queens from “Dragula” are the epitome of what Goth is. This runway to me , is more so “Witches”

While they all looked cool I hate that people think goth automatically means “black” or “dark fashion” like pastel goth, Gothic Lolita, Tribal, etc. dont exist. I wish they would’ve gotten a bit more creative this runway.

I fully agree with Raven on Ra’jah’s look! When I was watching it I kept telling my sister that I liked it and thought it was pretty but it didn’t scream goth to me. It was like dark-sided in a way but it leaned more toward pretty outfit in black.

This runway was really just a nostalgic walk down memory lane for Raja and Raven and I’m here for it

A lot of them are not Goth at all, you are allowed to Boot queens for it. It's not because they look beautiful that the assignment is done, there isn't much logic to Toots and Boots on this show anymore.

Kylie’s look was like a leather fetish and Siouxsie Sioux mix. I loved it 😍

Ra'jah was basically a skeleton of goth like she took surface level ideas of goth like black but didn't make anything actually Gothic

"Gothic kinda started in the Victorian Era". Oh Raven oh Raven, hell no! The Gothic architecture, art and such started in the Middle Ages. The movement Goth comes from Gothic Rock and Gothic Rock originated in the 60's. The Goth movement really started taking shape in the late 70's and became more big especially in the 80's.

Gothic elements are most definitely present during the Middle Ages, but the defining moments of “goth” itself were in the later Georgian era. So sad how Raven says he knows so much about fashion, but when it comes to history, he knows zilch

The Middle Ages Gothic architecture really has nothing to do with "Goth" the way it is meant here. What is relevant is the way that architecture was retrospectively interpreted e.g. in the Victorian era - that idea that it was dark, gloomy and spooky, which is not actually true. Most of the Gargoyles you see on "gothic" churches are actually 19th century additions to make it look like the romantic idea of gothic.

Siouxsie Sioux was EVERYTHING! I till listen to her quite often. *sigh* But as far as the looks go, I think quite a few of them did ok, since goth has a lot of subcategories, and therefore, so many ways to style one's self. The one that really and truly failed this assignment was Ra'Jah. That was just BAD.

@@InsaneNuYawka snuff was popular during the 18th century-since Eureka’s hair and makeup are also from that period, it makes more sense that she was miming using snuff rather than cocaine, which wasn’t isolated as a chemical until the 19th century (when it was viewed as a medicine rather than the drug we know it as now).

I would’ve done a Stevie Nick’s inspired Gypsy-goth look.

goth is such a great runway idea and i was underwhelmed. this really could of been a moment for a queen to serve something creative and theatrical. i was waiting for a sharon needles blood dripping down the face and body type of moment. it really shows how some queens were ahead of their time. i expected more especially since it's 2021 there is so much inspiration and no excuse to not do something spectacular.

I'm happy to see these outfits reviewed by queens who actually understand/have been part of the goth subculture.

I was expecting a Mortricia or Wednesday Addams LMAO

I wish we could get a look book of outfits that Raja actually wore in high school.
