I really love these kinds of videos, please keep doing them, I love knowing your opinions!! The ones that stood out to me were the 1930s embroidery repurposing and the natural dying with flowers. It hurts me to see people cutting up embroidery and knitting/crocheting projects these days! They've lasted so long and deserve to be used as is imo! And for the flower dying, my partner saw something similar and got super excited to make some gifts for friends that wouldn't appreciate it, and I did some research and told her it would wash out and she just didn't care and it really got to me 😅 As creatives, if we make something, we want it to last!

Thank you! More coming.. Yes I can imagine it is so tempting to cut it up but when you know it is 100 years old it is a little painful.. especially with how people care for their clothes nowadays ;) and same for flower printing. I suppose it should not be really thoroughly washed.. so bad idea to give to unappreciating friends who are likely to ruin it or put it in a box and never look at it again 😱

Ooh! I love the material experiment! I love texture and form. I've seen 3D priniting on fabric to create scales that move with the fabric. Not sure how washable it would be but for cosplay it would work.

Uhh yes I remember back in fashion school people were experimenting with 3D printing on fabric, very cool.. have to do some more material experiments again soon

I am looking into it! Appears textile spray paint isn't all that.. but we must try now..

Now spraying bleach through mesh sounds good and it would work on stretchy fabrics. I think I’ll give it a try and then add some beading…

Yes I guess as long as it is natural fabric it should work.. beading sounds great.. this one I am trying to keep it simple ;)

You can make shoes from silicone caulk, just cover feet with plastic wrap. Same thing should work on shoe soles. Durability depends on the texture & caulk. Messy though, as you know.

Ohhh I think I should give it another go, it is so satisfying only I remember a strong vinegar smell for some reason 🙃

Yeah. I'm of two minds regarding accent stitching on the handbag. I don't know if you are familiar with it, but "leisure suits" were a big deal for men in the USA back in the late '60s and early '70s. (Elsewhere, too, I think!) They typically had accent stitching--and were pretty hideous! But now I want one!

Please do show us how to do spray painting on clothes. Do you need a special kind of spray? I've seen a girl make dresses out of silicone on TikTok and I would love to know how to do this too. Thank you for your videos, I love them all!

Been doing some research on paint, and a special spray paint seems to be recommended. ATM doing a pretty cool bleaching technique with a spray bottle and mesh to create a bit of a snake like effect. But will try spray paint at some point too! And silione may be let's see ;)

Sadly women’s jackets rarely come with inner pockets - so useful but not exciting upcycle.

Oh I had no idea! Have not sewn any pockets in years but in this case definitely a good upcycling idea.. once it is finished I think it gets exciting lol
