Farrah Fawcett Drugged on Letterman 1 of 2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Not to be too ghoulish, but here's Farrah Fawcett under the influence of one thing and/or another during her first appearance on the Late Show. She talks about her then-recent Playboy appearance. It starts off awkward and gets worse.

I was born in 1976 and I was named after this gorgeous woman. When I was a little girl my mom and grandmother used to say " when you were born if you wanted to be anyone Farrah was the one to be" I am still excited to this day that I was named after her.

She was so beautiful. So very sad for her to pass away so young. She died on the same day as Michael Jackson and I didn't feel she got the recognition she deserved. Her departure sadly seemed to pass under the radar. I remember you, Farrah, as do many others. RIP xxx 🥀 🥀🥀

Very very true. I have always felt bad for her memory regarding that. If rremembered correctly she died like about 4 to 6 hours or so before MJ did, and the media was reporting it profusely...that is until a bigger passing cast her in the shadow. Less iconic celebs have gotten more attention. She showed so much strength and grace in her last few months alive. Rip Farrah.

I Maybe wouldn't care as much if she was a mean spiteful woman. But, she was Always kind, thoughtful and just a real Lady. How can people be so cruel too such kind souls ? I will Never understand !! At least most of audience was really on her side, clapping when she finished her story and just giving her Lots of Love . That's what I heard, they weren't against her at all, laughing with not against.

So, it says temptations do indeed overtake all of us. But... even in that state of enslavement, God always provides a way out. Look for it, it will be there. My generations Marilyn Monroe. Gone too soon. When was 16 yo and living in Redondo Beach, CA , I went down to King Harbor to see the filming of Cannonball Run, a 1970's movie in which she appeared with Burt Reynolds. I watched Burt do his scene in which he, for some odd reason, had 3 different changes of wardrobe. So Burt did his first take and they cut. Then he took off his pants and underneath were his second wardrobe change. I was surprised to see that. But then after that set of wardrobe had it's part, they cut and he did it again. He had on three pairs of pants at once. He was so skinny (cocaine was bug back then). I have never scene it again since then and I work on movies. So after that I was walking around checking things out ( watched Dom Deloise's kids fish for crabs). As I walked back to find my friends, I see a huge crowd hovering around someone as they were all heading in my direction. So I stopped and waited to see who it was. Guess who. The lovely and very thin Farah Fawcett-Majors. My bathroom poster in the flesh. Well, I just looked and looked as she walked right up to me and ask me if I would please walk with her to her trailer. Homina Homina. I was speechless but obedient. When we got there she kissed me and said thank you. The End.

Farrah was a human being, not an angel (unless you meant she acted as one of "Charlie's Angels" in the 70s TV show?). How do you know.....everything.....about her? You don't. Neither do I. I was a big fan of her's when I was a kid in the 70s. Had a poster of her on my bedroom wall. Farrah was stunningly, naturally beautiful, even in this video she is 50 years old and looks no older than 28. What I do know about her is heart breaking. She would have been taught the "four last things" as a catechized Catholic, which she was. Death. Judgment. Hell. Heaven. For ALL of us. I pray her soul rests in peace. Just prayed for her now. To a native speaker, the comment clearly means: 'Making sport of a nervous middle-aged woman is undignified, and those who participate are bullies.' The comment is _not_ meant to be interpreted as saying: 'The name of the sport of bullying a nervous middle-aged woman is called _undignified_ _sport_ .' I guess you could argue that the original comment is a tautology, or redundant, because being a bully IS undignified. But I would counter that it needs to be repeated, especially lately.

M.J. Leger You're the one who brought up hair in the first place. In any case, she can dye her hair any color she wants and will still look great (I don't even like blond hair, by the way) - it's still her hair. And as an actress, she would have to take on different roles that may require a different look from her every now and then, when she was alive, of course. What really gave her her good looks, to me, was her smile and her good figure. She also had sexy big hair, which no hair dye can take credit for. Whatever hair products she may have used don't really matter anyway, since one needs very special, manageable hair to get such good results to start with - which she had.

mckavitt Farrah showed she had real chops in the made for television movie..'The Burning Bed.' It's a riveting movie about the all too common hidden abuse in some marriages. It was based on a true story, and Farrah transformed herself totally into the character of the woman she was portraying. A complete departure from the glamour and fluff stuff that she is mostly known for. I respect the fact that she was willing to let herself be completely stripped down..with no make-up, nor high-end hair style, or designer clothes to be seen. Give it a watch when you get some spare time, and see for yourself. (Yup, I gotta admit that I was Very pleasantly surprised myself...I'd have never guessed Farrah had that level of dramatic acting in her!...But she Did!)😉

On June 5, 1997, Fawcett received negative commentary after giving a rambling interview and appearing distracted on Late Show with David Letterman. Months later, she told the host of The Howard Stern Show her behavior was just her way of joking around with the television host, partly in the guise of promoting her Playboy pictoral and video, explaining what appeared to be random looks across the theater was just her looking and reacting to fans in the audience. Though the Letterman appearance spawned speculation and several jokes at her expense, she returned to the show two years later in 1999, with success, and several years later, after Joaquin Phoenix's mumbling act[47] on a February 2009 appearance on The Late Show, Letterman wrapped up the interview by saying, "Joaquin, I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight" and recalled Fawcett's earlier appearance by noting "We owe an apology to Farrah Fawcett."[48]

sonicawesomeness Right on. I've never taken ANYTHING of the mind-altering variety in my life--no pills, no booze, no pot, NOTHING. Yet I dance like a crazy motherfucker and speak at a million words per minute when I'm super-excited. I've often accused of being on drugs, but I have a saying: "for the people who believe, you don't need to explain. For the people who don't believe, no explanation is good enough." I'm high on life, but as to what happened with Farrah, it seems like sleep deprivation. Note at 0:20 the way she drops her lipstick but is able to quickly screw the lid back on without even looking at the item (and looking back over her shoulder as she jogs in the opposite direction, AND she's wearing what appears to be a pair of high heels at least five inches tall--she would NOT be able to co-ordinate every single one of those movements at the same time if she'd been "under the influence"). I've seen people "on the stuff". They look nothing like this. I'd say it's sleep deprivation plus the nerves of being on Letterman for the first time. Bottom line: unless people know for certain, they shouldn't make such accusations. And the funny thing is, from my experience, the people who have always accused me of being on drugs (when I've never used them) are the biggest pissheads in the room. You know, when people point the finger, they have three pointing back at them. Thumbs up for your post.

MisterObjectivity I never drank alcohol. Nothing. 0. Ever. And doubt I ever will because I really don't need to. When I'm happy and with friends I 100% *lose it*, and every single human, including them that know I don't drink, think I'm drunk lol (the difference is that I can snap out of it whenever I want). I just get easily out of my body when I'm in peace and having fun with people I care and care about me really... I'm high on life as well \^^/ But yup, I think she was _hella_ nervous, didn't slept well like you said, and yeah.. just didn't prepared herself at all ;/. It's not very hard to lose track of your own mind and start panicking and behaving like an 'idiot'. People live in their own little world, think what they live is the world's reality, don't educate themselves better, and say whatever crap comes into their mind, ruining others in the process. Pointing fingers it's the 'evil' ignorance.

SUNMAYDEN518 There's a big difference between drunk and stoned. The fact you can't tell proves you're not a good judge of such things. And I've said it before and I'll say it again--I often act like this under certain circumstances, and people think I'm either (a) drunk, or (b) stoned. And they, just like you, are totally wrong. Because I'm neither a drinker nor a stoner. It's called nervousness and possible sleep deprivation. I've seen drunk and I've seen stoned. This is neither one. So give it up already.
