Farooq Rind Sir, You are 100% right about the mitti on the feet. We need not look at the gesture of taking soil out from shoes in a very feminist way. Because , here it is a grieving daughter that does it and not a beleaguered wife. Also, the embarrassment of Abdullah, and his immense guilt and pain in expression kind of make this action not so objectionable , instead it becomes very emotional and poetic! Thank you once again for such a beautiful, lyrical and simple love story!!

It's not feminist way It's showing the girls are majboor and also they showed her taking Abdallah's shoes off after he returns home from work why always the women is shown majboor and week she could definitely bring him a glass of water or a cup of tea instead of taking his shoes off . Same way offcourse he didn't had to show she's taking mitti from his shoes instead yes they could show mitti on his hands.

Though being a Hindu i feel explanation given by Farooq Rind on mitti wala scene is completely perfect and the same way I felt wen i was watching aamna and Hassan's review... I somehow feel season 2 is a great idea if it's only a powerful script orelse please don't do as we want to remember Pyaar ke sadqay as an exceptional play ❤️ Loads of wishes from India Akshay Rajput

No there is no need of making season 2 because in most of the sequels the 2nd part doest not have the charm as that of the first one. PKS was exceptionally well it should be left at this high note. But one thing for sure we really want to see bilal and yumna in different characters and different stories as the are brilliant actors and have great chemistry as well.

What an amazing and humble man. Thank you Hassan for this wonderful interview. In response to both of Farooq Rind's questions: Yes,, there should be a season II - but it should focus on the growth of Abdullah and Mahjabeen and their journey as couple and as individuals. The graveyard scene: Aminah said that she did not like Mahjabeen wiping the mud from Abdullah's shoes because it was problematic symbolism. I agree with her. But I also feel that Farooq bhai is making an excellent point about keeping it real. Personally I did not have a problem with the scene because I felt that scene was never about Abdullah's shoes. It was always about the graveyard mud and what it meant to Abdullah (nothing because it was on his shoes) and what it meant to Mahjabeen (she gathers it reverently in her dupatta). It showed the two parallels and how Abdullah was once again careless about his relationships while Mahjabeen continued to revere and nurture them. Thanks again for a great interview.

Gosh! Farooq Rind is such a kind sweet adorable soul!! May Allah bless him and his family with lots of happiness!! He’s right about the Qabristaan mitti. There’s usually none on the hand. It was probably a criticism that hurt him more because he had recently buried his wife. On season 2 of course we want it!! Yumshma Pho so many stories to follow and Mahjabeen to be groomed, so much more fun that can ensue!! Great interview! Farooq Rind Hassan chemistry was so palpable and mutual admiration club so obvious and heartwarming!💕

On second thoughts let us not flog a good story to death, because sequels are very very dicey and require a fine balance to not become overkill!! Maybe, the same lead pair in a different, exciting, brand new story...........

Yayy we definitely want season 2!! And about that scene where mahjabeen collects dirt from abdullah's shoes i think farooq rind is right that showing it onthe hand would have been very unnatural and that was a more realistic thing. We should not view everything in the light that a girl is being submissive some things in some situations are beyong that.

Im proud of something haute to post the scenes Mr Farooq asked to post. This shows great professionalism. It was such an intense interview at certain points but overall Hassan was chilled out 😂I have such mixed opinions about this interview! Director is simple ... lot of really creative people are not that articulate and he falls in that category ... it seems he’s got very good creative vision which he portrays in the scenes but can’t express his point of view that well , totally a great artist and he created this piece of art as moving painting . Even yumna is not that articulate but exceptionally great artist . We had sridevi who couldn’t talk much to people but used to create magic behind camera ...may be there’s connection between creativity and innocence ...& then only you can create magic .... And yes the mud scene was perfect ...

Your assessment is spot on. I once heard lata mangeshkars interview and she sounded very child like and innocent. Even the way she was narrating stories in the interview was like an innocent child like my 4 year old daughter

Hi, I am from India. I loved the show and the chemistry between the lead cast. It would be a treat to watch the entire cast again with either a continuing or fresh story. But please increase the romantic moments between the lead pair....I also think Yumna and Bilal are fantastic actors. Would love to see them together again.

Found director Rind a very genuine and down to earth person ( hard to find people like him these days).. Mud scene, keeping in mind the character trait of Mahjabeen was pretty much Ok and definitely added value to the emotional connection b/w the lead actors, was well directed and equally well performed. Season 2 with a gripping story and fantastic performances is certainly a Yes..

Season 2 should be only made if the story is strong enough. Pyar k sadqey is a very special drama and is very close to our hearts. I wish if there's a story that keeps the characters traits intact and brings the flavorsome performances of Mahjabeen and Abdullah back then why not...!!! I am sure there are a lot more challenges faced by people like mahjabeen with low IQ but high confidence and Abdullah with high IQ but low confidence. I would love to see how they face other challenges keeping up with their innocence. Thoroughly enjoyed your interview. P.S. matti wala scene was totally correct. Also mahjabeen was not intelligent enough to think k matti utar gyi hogi. The way she imagined k abdullah qabristan se aya ha or qabarstan ki matti us k jootay py lgi ha tho I think that is justified keeping MJ's level of samajh in mind.

I don’t agree Rind sahib criticising Amina about continuity issues. Yes there are some issues and drama was unnecessarily stretched. But shoes scene is justified. If season 2 is going to be written and executed well then it would be worth to watch. Best wishes to team PKS

I guess I was just waiting for that to happen. So it felt like a different ending than what was indicated. But that could just be me. The ending was very cute!
