UK FARMING INSIGHTS | Game Bird Cover Crops
As part of my Real Life Farming Series, In this 'Farming Insights' video I take a look at Game Bird Cover Crops used on UK Farms, what they are, why used and when sown with footage taken recently at a local farm in the UK.
For those that play Farming Simulator 19, I also look at how such cover crops could be used in FS19, to add a level of realism to your game play.
Equipment used in the preparation of the ground and drilling of the cover crops:
- John Deere 6215R
- Amazone AD 303 Combination Drill & Power Harrow
- John Deere 8370R
- Amazone Ceus Combination Cultivator
- Teagle Topper

Awesome vid, very cool idea about adding in the cover crops to the gameplay. The IRL footage was fantastic as well. Very well done!

Thanks Mighty Mike. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope to make a few more videos like this in the future. Quite a few additional 'real' farming elements that could be added in. I hope FS22 will allow for more of this sort of thing too!

Hi Gudo. Glad you liked the video. The FS19 map was Six Ashes by GB Modding. A fantastic British map. If you're on PC - get the Farming Agency version of the map. Better crop options and fully supports all of the Maize Plus mods. Well worth playing. 👍

@@gudovalk4320 Hi Gudo - The planter is the standard in game one - Amazone ED 3000C and you need to get the Power Harrow separately, which is the Amazone KE 3000 Superthis is in the mod hub: www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=it&mod_id=134210&title=fs2019 - The drill that is part of this MOD pack,is a seeder not planter so doesn't do the corn. But the standard in-game planter still attaches to the Power Harrow. Attach the Power Harrow first, then the planter. 👍

Hi Freddie - no unfortunately not! This was video footage of some real-life farming, mixed in with a bit of FS19 from the Six Ashes map!
