Merina, my husband and I have been married 43 year this November. We have always lived in a mobile home and I've gotten the trailer trash looks from people for years. Don't give a hoot what they think I love my home which now sits on 10 acres in the country. Love everything you and Shane have done to your home.

Hubby and I are almost 35 years in our marriage. He’s retired Army and we bought our brand new mobile home in 1997. We’ve lived on our 3 acres in the country since 2005. We’ve remodeled a few times and finally I have my “farmhouse/country” home! This is our forever home and we love it!

My husband and I have been married 33 years..we both lived in trailers in a trailer park and we're neighbors..that's how we met and fell in love and married...our first house we had a house fire and lost everything our first year of marriage...our next home was a 16 x 80 with two small children..it was gorgeous... But we needed more room...so twenty houses later we bought a modular home in a modular home park .lived there for five years until we bought seven acres out in the country and moved our modular home on our own property... we've completely remodeled our modular home.. including putting real cedar siding on it.and a new metal roof....and we pretty much gutted the inside. And remodeled every room....its gorgeous now and looks like a real log cabin home..the inside with the farmhouse style..we love our modular home and our own land...will live here until I'm carried out in a box... LoL

I have never, ever referred to anyone who lives in a trailer as “trailer park trash.” I don’t understand why people do that. It’s just another type of home-it’s not anything to be condescending about. My mom used to say that occasionally and it upset me. I’ve been in some beautiful trailer homes as a hospice nurse. It amazes me how each are set up differently. Blessings to you and your family. You are a beautiful soul ❤️

I grew up in a trailer in AR and am now looking at homes and trailers in WA. No shame there. Now, there are trashy ppl. Regardless of what kind of home it is. I've seen many homes completely trashed!! 😱 being a trailer doesn't automatically default to trash.

More of us need your grateful attitude as well. We often take things for granted and don't stop to appreciate what we have already. 💙

Girl you brought tears to my eyes, you are so kind hearted and innocent. When you said you get called "trailer trash" by people who don't really know what their taking about, shows me the kindness of your heart. I would not be so understanding or forgiving of people like you are. As a matter of fact I'm ready to take on those idiots that are mean to you. Just keep being you, you are a beautiful person on the outside as well as the inside.

Hi Merina, beautiful home!! Quick tip; You can use extra storage in the kitchen. Instead of getting rid of the shelves in your kitchen island you can just put doors on it, that way you won’t see the clutter but you still have storage for detergents or kitchen utensils and stuff like that.

You touched me to my core. I’ve been going through so much as a single mom. I’m so thankful I stumbled on this video. Idk it just makes me want to get back in touch with the lord because he’s so good. I’ve been left behind with no one, no family nothing. Just my kids and I. With a mean ex who wants to take my only save and grace. My two babies. My boys. I’m so thankful for our apartment, the fact this apartment keeps us warm and together everyday, and so blessed to have food for us 3. Also all the love the 3 of us share. Merina, I lived in a trailer when first married years ago, and was some of my happiest memories, I raised kids in it and entertained, cooked big meals and I love it. You have done a wonderful job and anybody that matters to you will never call you trailer trash , love ya girl!!!

This is my first time watching you! WOW, needless to say you Blessed my Heart today. I am so thankful that I stumbled across your channel. You HOME is Beautiful, you & Shane have worked so hard and it shows. We are currently in an Apartment (Just the 2 of us) kids are grown and gone. We have been considering a simple singlewide. We are a simple older couple that likes to live below our means. We are so Blessed to be able to drive cars that are older, but paid for. It isn't what you have, but how you take care of it. We lived in a singlewide trailer for 10 years and the dumbest thing we ever did was move out and have a mortgage on a house! You are NOT trailer trash, your home is absolutely beautiful and you and Shane should be so proud of your home improvements and you have an amazing, beautiful family!! ❤ One last thing, SHANE LET HER PAINT THE DAGGONE TV STAND!! Why change the endcaps of your bar! That is beautiful with shelves. You walk in and it is like a vocal point to see the end cap with decorations. Love your home! I also live in a mobile home; it’s a double wide. When I painted my walls I took down the strips that are in between each sheet of paneling or sheet rook and put mesh tape and spackled it then sanded smooth and painted; it really made a difference.

I really like the shelves on the end of your kitchen island, and I love how you decorated them! 😊

You just need a bedskirt and comforter to match those beautiful curtains. Honestly, that is all you need!!!

“We’re gonna love on it as long as it loves on us”. I love that and truly needed to hear that. We recently discovered a mold problem but we are renters in a mid-size city. Housing prices are thru the roof which means apartment and rental home properties are thru the roof. Us moving isn’t an option despite the fantasy apartment that’s in my head. I have felt bitter and ungrateful the last week bc the mold has been affecting my chronic migraines and anxiety. I really needed to hear that. My home is beautiful and hopefully once my landlord is back from vacation we can solve this problem. Thank u for ur kindness

Trailers are so cozy and have so many windows. I love it !!

Love you home. My husband has inherited some land from his grandmother that has a double-wide on it which we plan to move into sometime soon, before finding your channel I was a little nervous and scared I wouldn’t be able to makeover her old trailer to my style but after seeing all you have done to make your home beautiful and cozy I know I will have no problem making it feel like home.

I love how everything is coming together in your home. The brick and the jacobean stain in both the living room and kitchen makes it look cohesive and gives it a nice flow. I can’t wait to see future projects. 💜💜

Your home is beautiful Marina. You are truly blessed..the Good Lord is shining thru you! You and Shane are very resourceful. I always say you can make anyplace a pretty home...and I have, so many times, in our 42 years of marriage. We have been in tiny and huge places, mostly rentals and I've basically remodeled them and redecorated each on a small budget. But, I always left them all better than I found them. You have the flair in decorating, and the imagination to get it done and make it perfect!! I understand how busy just being a Mom is, let alone homeschooling. But, you do it all! God bless you and yours. ♥️

Again, I wish we were neighbors. You melted my heart when you said about lending bread and watching kids. Don't need neither, but it sure would be a comfort and joy to know it was there to fall back on.

I get that there is some ppl who live there that you wouldn't choose to live near, but you get that living in a brick house! I hate how ppl can be so judgemental. Here in the UK we pay lots of money to hire a trailer for a wkend or holiday/vacation 😊

I really hope you "see" this because you need to hear it! I love your channel and it reminds me a lot of my family's attitude growing up. My parents both came from families that were poor financially, but rich in love ♥️, especially in Christ's love! My parents updated our house frequently, painted and fixed old to make it look new. My parents were always generous and would go without if they thought a loved one, neighbor, or friend needed it more... And we wore patched hand-me-downs and would get laughed at at school because kids (and their parents) would accuse us of "acting" poor, when in reality, we were "acting" rich, because of God's blessings. We gardened, we canned, we saved to have enough to provide, but also so we could share when needed. We had 6 people living in a small 2 bedroom house until my dad could afford to add on. I was in high school! The mind set that was always reinforced was a person is only "white trash" if they decide to live that way. God blesses each of us, as we seek Him! Keep your focus, and keep saving and doing.

The end cap in your kitchen wouldn't look at all cluttered if it was filled with books. In fact it would just be interesting. I'd buy used books at yard sales and fill that sucker up. It would be beautiful and your family might enjoy it if they like to read. that's just my two cents worth though and I'm sure whatever you do it will be beautiful.

I grew up very poor too and it makes you feel secure when you have extra food and other things stocked up. You have done a wonderful job with your little home.

Girl you are not trailer trash, you take pride in your home and take care of it. You guys are smart to live within your means ecspecially when your children are young and are most likely harder on things. You are such a gem and we love you guys!!!!! Jesus is good and his favor upon you is obvious!!!

I love it! Everything looks so good and clean, I can almost smell the cleanliness hehe can’t wait to see the before and after, I can’t imagine how it used to look.

I hung a curtain on a tension rod at my back door to hide my brooms and mop. It stays open most of the time, but just in case company visits, I can pull it too. Your home is gorgeous, you have a great eye for design.

I don't care the circumstance...even if someone lived in unliveable, abhorrent conditions...whatever the circumstance..people, its our job to love our neighbor...that's it!!! You have such a beautiful home! God bless you and your family!!!

We have lived in a rv for 13 1/2 yrs, our 1st one was a pile of mold. but 10 yrs it was home. Then Gid opened Up the doors for us to get a newer one and that was 3 1/2 yrs ago and we still talk on how perfect it is for us. The Lord knows what our needs and wants are and I just love it when he gives us those extras. God Bless your single trailer like you Bless him.

We live in a 16 X 80 moble home it’s 90 something lol!!!!! We love ours raised all the kids here lots of Furbabies lots of amazing memories made here!!!! I use to care what peeps thought but anymore I just l don’t really care anymore!!!! We have been remolding for several years hopefully one day we will finish up!!!! Love ya girl♥️

Your house is so cute! We live in a single wide too with 3 kids. I get judged all the time for it. But honestly i love it and the freedom that comes with it. You give me sooo much insparation to fix up our singlewide too!!! Love yall
