Farmhouse Kitchen | Organization & Storage Ideas

Farmhouse kitchens are known for their rustic charm and cozy feel. They exude warmth and comfort, making them the perfect place to cook up a storm and gather with loved ones. However, with all that cooking comes a lot of kitchen equipment and ingredients, which can quickly make your space feel cluttered if you're not careful. In this video I walk you through our kitchen and show you where and how we store everything.

    When it comes to a country kitchen, I love how yours is authentic and not just filled with the country decor from Target, etc. You guys nailed it!

    Very simple and tidy, I love the whole vibe. I think I would just make muslin curtains for the bottom of the cabinet, or chicken wire with a fabric backing would look cute. There's nothing stored down there that needs to be seen.

    I said something like that on a previous video, my idea was to put in some punched tin, sometimes that can look really nice. (that's the metal sheets with designs "punched" into them with nail tips)

    That Ball Pitcher is so cool! I am so glad to have found your page! I have a tiny traditional ranch that is sorely lacking in space and needs major organization. Feeling very overwhelmed about that because as soon as I started organizing and purging, our AC went out and it's so hard to get motivated! This page is a real blessing!

    I like the scrap bucket and the large crock for dirty hand towel, great use for those and perfect location. I like the antique hutch, it's very nice and serves the storage purpose well. Really like the corner pantry, it's unique. The facet set is nice, I like the brass tone. I'm so in love with your sink and that awesome yellow cabinet. You have such a nice assortment of kitchen items and I like that a lot of them are older and thrifted. You guys did such a nice job with the layout and designing the kitchen. Very nicely done!

    Love the your cabinets and how you've organized everything. You did an amazing job.❤ Our kitchen is a big open space but no wall space. We have one counter, that has a sink and barely any cabinets. It was original designed for someone who doesn't cook a lot. We are getting ready to raise upper cabinets to ceiling, rebuild base cabinets, make them taller, put in our new to us cast iron sink and new butcher block countertop. Eventually we have a island on wheels to fix up, it's on our front porch and needs a huge amount of work. So glad I found your channel, found some really good ideas.

    Love what you did with your kitchen…your set up and how you organized everything is GREAT…I also liked how you separated the top cupboard from the bottom, what a great idea…your stove is a wonderful piece too…like how it has a large draw for your pots and pans…I have to put mine inside our stove…our kitchen doesn’t have much for cupboards and we had to get a chimney cupboard and an old Dutch cupboard to put our baking goods and canned food in, almost like a pantry to store out food…thanks again for sharing with us 😊

    Love your yellow cabinets with the sliding doors. So useful and easier than swinging doors on cabinets. I took an extra fridge shelf, put it on top of the fridge, with one edge hanging out about 2 inches, so with S hooks, I can hang strainers and my pot lid rack. The fridge shelf is heavy, but I also have my big dutch oven and colanders on it so it can't fall. I just love your unfitted kitchen. So smart to put the drinks fridge under the sink area; I've seen that curtain idea in the Country Living kitchen book

    Wow I thought our pantry was small. I bought plastic milk crates and zip-tied rolling plant holders to the bottom so can roll them out from under shelf easily. We had to put in a wire shelf beside our refrigerator so we would have enough room. Eventually our extra bedroom will hold a lot of our home canned food and overflow. Questions.... Do you can your own butter? After opening how long can you leave it on the counter? Someone said it has to be kept refrigerated. 🤷

  • @LewisAcresHomestead

    @LewisAcresHomestead

    I have canned store bought butter before but not any I made from raw milk. After I open a jar of it I leave it on the counter and usually use it within a couple days. It has to be actual butter though, it can't be margarine.
