Suggestions; break up the roots when you take the plants out of the original pots since the roots have been compacted, also keep the petunias in the original pot and set them in the black pots by the door so you can just switch out pots when you change plants each season without repotting them. These are tricks we used when we had our landscaping company.

If you gently loosen your root balls before you plant, it will help them grow better. Just gently work your fingers at the bottom of the plant b4 planting. Looks beautiful!

Over here in England UK is still cold. The weather is around 8 - 9 celcius which is in your 40's, at night it's below freezing which for you would be 30. Your porch is lovely, you do need bigger pots though and before you plant loosen up the roots and break away the dead ones and your first water is always a big drench. 💖🌹🌹🌹🌸🌷🌱🌺🌻🌼

I’m excited to do my front porch now...our weather is up and down in WV! One day it’s in the 70’s, the next in the 50’s! Crazy, but things are blooming and it’s so beautiful here!

Your plants need to be planted deeper, especially the ferns and the petunia planters next to the door, they will dry out so fast, in the wind as much as the sun, I am not being a negative Nelly, as your porch and the whole planting theme is stunning, and so fresh 😊.

Alot of frosty mornings, so had to bring my ferns in every day. But now we're getting a big warm up. So excited about that.

Needed this inspiration today. Thank you. Sage or Salvia is your pot thriller. Also important to have all the plants compatible with same watering and sun needs. Pack the dirt tightly around the plants also to get out air pockets where water and air can rot the roots. Not trying to sound be bossy, I'm a grandma gardner and have just learned from all my mistakes. Fertilize about once a month to keep them beautiful. 😉. Beautiful plant choices. Those ferns are amazing. One of my favorites.

Love it! I went to Lowe’s this morning for plants and vegetables, so this video was perfect timing!! I’ve been planting my pots that way for years, and it does make for a dramatic improvement over just one type of plant in a pot.🌸🌸🌸

We are in Michigan. We had beautiful Easter and the week following. 75 and sunny. But it's going to be a rainy weekend and cool down next week. The grass is green and daffodils are blooming. Can't wait to plant some flowers!

This is my first time watching your channel and I enjoyed it very much. I live in Florida and front porches are very popular here. My porch is 40’ long with a nautical theme fan/light and also white rocking chairs. There is a large garden in front of the porch filled with a little of everything. I planted a tree for each grandchild, a small pond and a large blue bridge (about 15’ long) painted to match the front door. The garden is over 20 years old and it’s great to sit on the porch and watch nature be nature. I’ll enjoy following your channel for sure.

Our weather in PA is crazy. Night time temps below freezing last week and 80’s daytime temps this week. I live in the woods and the tree pollen is ridiculous now. I planted my pots and had to move them into the garage last week 😜

Beautiful! And it’s kind of like summer more than spring right now where I am lol. I absolutely love planting and tending to my garden. It’s the most relaxing thing I’ve found that I love to do.

Love your porch decor! New to your channel. Every Spring I buy a pack of cheap diapers and i cut them in half then add one to the bottom of the plant. Place the diaper and bottom of the plant in a plastic grocery bag and then plant in your hanging pot or porch planter.Push the bag down some so you can't see it and add more potting soil if you need too. I do everyone of my planters that way and my flowers stay hydrated and beautiful all summer long. Also with this method you can use the throw away pot that you purchased them in. Looking forward to your video's.

Yes! Love to plant flowers! Make sure you use Miracle Grow or some type of slow release fertilizer on the plants ! Makes a world of difference!

60 degrees here in WI is considered a beautiful spring day. 😂 we are now back to the 50's and rainy all week. We don't plant anything until usually Mothers Day weekend because then you usually won't have any more frost at night.your porch is beautiful! ❤️ Love all of your videos!

Yep I’m in Wisconsin too and I don’t plant any pots until after Memorial Day. The weather here is just too erratic.... we’ve had snowstorms in April, so I just wait. Better safe than sorry!!!😂

I am in Utah and days are cool if in shade but nice in sun. I can't wait to plant flowers and praying the dogs will not eat them this year 😫. I just did a clean under our patio and love how it turned out just needs we purchased a couple rockers and new rug dogs chewed my one got last year and got a fire pit and OmG loving it .
