    Thank you for your great videos, I'm not a farmer but the way you inform us all about how your different pieces of equipment work and what your growing/how things are growing is to be commended. I can also understand your frustration with the men from the ministry with regards to what they want you to grow this year then change it all the following year, please keep these great videos coming, All the best Wayne.

    some years ago I was delivering animal feed to a small farm out side the M25 who had a visit from (I think the water authority) it was an unannounced visit the out come was they would need to replace all drinkers and fit non return valves on all pipes, also would need to dig down to confirm the depth of all the water pipes to every paddock and fit all new ball valves in the water tanks to be a certain height above the water , when asked why the guy said to stop water being syphoned back up the pipes, the owner pointed out that the water is under pressure so his water would not get into the water system, the guy answered well if London had a big fire that may drop the water pressure enough to let his water syphon back, by this time the farmer had had enough, and said if London had a fire that big do you think they would F------ worry about my water !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, the trouble with this is all these people and visits such as the one you had have to be payed for and not forgetting the office staff doing the admin, makes you wonder how much is spent on such schemes

    @@WardysWaffleAndrewWard I quite enjoyed the fan system. Only thing I’m Curious about is why on one side you use a channel system and the other you use poly plastic pipes.

  • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

    @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

    10 ай бұрын

    @PA3456 because the shed was built in 1976 for machinery one side, storing grain the other. As time has gone by we’ve farmed more land so needed more grain storage. Instead of putting another shed up was Much cheaper to buy some special perforated pipes, cut some holes in the air tunnel to fit them in and it’s given us another 400 tons of storage which we can condition the crop during the autumn and winter

    Hi Andrew, another great video, I was wondering what were the water co measuring regarding tank overflow, can you put a picture out if you have a moment pls. You could,nt make it up could you, the water authority are concerned about Andrew Ward,s water tanks yet some water authorities, (not saying) Anglian Water, discharge raw sewage into our rivers and the sea. They want to get their priorities in order ! Waste of time and resources. I notice the combine has gone well for you this season which helps alleviate some stress no doubt.

I just can't believe that the water company are chasing something like over flow pipes, when they have so many leaks and are taking weeks or even months to repair them they should and the goverment should get there self in order.

    Andrew, we ran a Macdon FD70 35 ft header, fantastic machine for harvesting lentils here in Australia, they cut amazingly close to the ground to get the lentil pods at 1 inch above the gnd. And just wondering about the holes in your beans, some kind of grub damage? are the UK farmers able to spray for those? Good videos, great content, you are one of the best Ag content guys I watch

  • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

    @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

    10 ай бұрын

    Thanks for your thoughts on the MacDon. The holes are caused by bruchid beetle. We can spray for them and do but the perfect timing is a really narrow window and only product available is only average at best. Defra, our gov regulatory department is doing all it can to make it difficult to use Insecticides and bans the use of the most efficient ones and are encouraging us not to use any. Thanks for your kind comments, glad you enjoy the videos. 😀👍

    Do you control by outside temp only or does humidity also play a part, eg if outside humidity was high would make the grain damp.
