Ohkajhu (โอ้กะจู๋) is a well known farm to table restaurant in Thailand, that originated in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. #ChiangMai #VegetarianFood #FarmToTable
They have a unique story, which I tried to explain in the video - learning as we ate! But the short story is three friends came together and started growing organic vegetables, both to eat themselves, and to sell to supermarkets or markets in Chiang Mai, Thailand. But they realized the demand wasn't high enough and they weren't making enough profits. So they decided to open a farm to table restaurant. There's now 9 locations of Ohkajhu (โอ้กะจู๋) in Thailand, and they have a huge fan following. They are known for their huge portions of food. Their salads were monstrous!
The menu at Ohkajhu (โอ้กะจู๋) is impressive, detailed, and huge. They have a big selection of all sorts of Thai food and Western food, and while it's not a vegetarian restaurant, they do have plenty of vegetarian and vegan food options on their menu - and that's what we chose.
Food was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and flavorful, and yes the portion sizes are huge!

We need this sort of restaurants/farms like this in the the U.S.! Healthy, affordable...this would do a lot to provide an alternative to fast foods. Love this idea!
