Very nice shop! Everything looks clean and well thought out. If you were to add the kitchen you want I think it would look good to add a mirrored addition on the other side of the 81' end with the door and office. If you ever do add a kitchen I hope you do an update video. Well done!

Kitchen.... Yup, pretty much everything, except the kitchen sink...we don't have a sink either, but we do have a small refrigerator!! We're still working in the fourty year old 30x30... YES, it is way too SMALL!!!! Our advantage is, the 20x30 bay beside it...it houses All lubricants, waste oil, air compressor and extra air holding tank, bigger parts storage and a little bit of room to work on things.. The main shop area has two big drill presses, a lathe, band saw, chop saw, steel rack, 20' work bench(lol... Catch all!!!), Bolt bins, overhead parts room, two wire feeds, plasma, oxy/acet...... Three tool boxes.... YES, it is well equipped, YES, we have out grown it!!! Service truck fits in nicely, pickups too... Tractors with duals aren't too bad... It's the combine and the trucks that don't fit!! We try..lol.. just gotta leave the doors open. Live Top Shops!!! Lots of great ideas!!! Now, if we only had the $$ and a space to put a new shop 😎

Any ballpark figures here as to the cost of something like this? If it was in the $300k range (by some miracle), it could be a possibility for me, but my guess would be more along the lines of $600k-$800k.

Depends where it’s located and what ground prices go around there. Profit margins could be much higher than where you live. As well as budgeting and other incomes. We are building a 60x100 with in floor heat as well as a full living quarters and office area and we do not farm even close to that 2800 acres. We’re a smaller farm, but we do well with our money and continue growing every year.

They said 2013 it was built so that was a bit after the time when corn prices were at record highs and everybody was making huge profits. Many small-mid size farmers got new machinery and built new shops. My guess is these guys will probably have the same fleet and shop for quite a few years to come but that's what a lot have done lately.

Dammm!!..a lot of jealousy rearing it’s ugly head....aside from that how about maybe they’re just really good at what they do ?....2800 acres is a lot of land to farm and with the right business plan and marketing skills it can be very profitable. Sounds to me these two boys have their heads on straight and take tremendous pride in what they do...more power to them!!!!!.. by the way ...BEAUTIFUL FARM

This isn't successful farming. This is rich farmer's shops. Successful farmers build a shop the same size for half the money and forgo all the bells and whistles, that double the price of a building like that. Then buy another 40 acres with the savings and make 7% more next year.

Nathen Poe. Not every successful person uses government subsidizes. I mean just because you’re not successful or don’t manage your money correctly doesn’t mean no one else does. So before you just assume things before having any clue about their operations, maybe you should come up with some proof before slandering this family and the farming community.
