Dr. Joleen Hadrich, Applied Economics/Extension Economist
at the University of Minnesota Extension provided a detailed look at what separates the top 20% producers from the bottom 20% in terms of input costs, land rental versus ownership, machinery purchases versus repair, and many other important considerations. Also she discussed the effect on farming success for farmers who have taken over the family farm. She also dusted off the crystal ball to make some predictions for 2019 markets.
