The crunch is a cross between an Apple and a ruffles thick potato chip

Most of the people mistaken this fruit as bilvapatra or bel which leaves we offer to god Shiv but this is not bel. This fruit is keth, kavit, kaithodi, kotambadi. This a tangy flavour fruit and girls favourite fruit like tamerind.

I love it and I have it almost everyday , it's just irresistible

in Indonesia, this fruit is found in the rembang area and is named kawista, commonly used as syrup. it tastes cola.

It's my favorite fruit from childhood, lot of trees are available in my village, this fruit has lot of medicinal properties like blood purification, improve immunity, it will clean the stomach etc

I love those fruit shells. You can make things out of it like crafts and stuff🙏

Mouth watering! My mum used to make the best velakkaya chutney on earth.

Seeing this fruit my mouth is watering instantly. This fruit used to abundant in our younger days now it is hardly seen.

This is so sour but If he wait till the outer part turn brown and the pulp inside is black is the ripped and ready to eat. It is very delicious especially if you add honey in it.

Also know as beilfal. We make juice of this mixing water, sugar and lemon. Good in summer.

Actually only one among them is ripe. When it is fully ripe it is sweet and sour, if it is tender it tastes umami (like unripe fruits, other than sour and bitter). When it is fully ripe it will have seeds as well, which also have to be eaten. The ripe thing is removed from the shell and to be mixed completely with jaggery and eaten. It tastes sweet and sour, something like passion fruit.

Molly Cher it sure is, elephants love them a lot. The ripe fruits are very sweet and earthy. My mom used to make it with a bit of jaggery and it used to be so good

In my child hood I enjoy this fruit in my village this fruit will ripend in the month of December and januavery tillmarch naturally ripend is very tasty in ripend outer shell turned in to light black colour and beauty full aroma with brown pulp. in kannada it is called "Belada hannu" It'd sharabath made up of jaguray is good for haalth especially in rama navami it's sharabath is vary famous.

In Malawi (Northern region) we call it Msongolo. I used to eat it when I was a boy though never liked the test.
