Malvo: charms, intimidates, confuses, or otherwise manipulates basically anyone he ever talks to. Wrench and Numbers: "Yeah no we're just here to empty this gun into you."

@@eoin8274 no you are correct. It only plays when they appear in season 1, a remixed version appears in season 2 exactly one time but its not the same song, and in season 3 a similar version plays when one of those same characters appears again. "plays when anything cool happens" is a bad exaggeration. oh and the song is literally called "wrench and numbers" lol

What's so iconic about this scene is that this is probably the first time ever in Malvo's life he's not the predator, but the prey, and he still manages to get out of the situation

This scene is so good because up until this point Wrench & Numbers hadn't appeared in the episode, so when i watched it for the first time i wondered who drove into Malvo, then boom Wrench & Numbers appeared and it was the first time you see Malvo not in control of situation. Such a good scene.

Besides, it was the middle of a blizzard, there's a good chance the heavy snow would dilute the blood enough to make the DNA hard to read. Plus, it's not unreasonable to assume that whoever Malvo works for has enough pull to keep their agents' DNA from being registered (they were able to construct entire backgrounds as a minister and later a dentist including credentials, actor witnesses, websites and training so clearly there's more to them than just being ran out of a real estate office.)
