I love Matthew Daddario! I agree with him. Alec chose a bad time, maybe thinking that that was what Magnus needed, but it's not. Magnus needs someone to make him see that he can still be useful and that his life can still have meaning. Losing a part of who you are is painful, but it is not impossible to reinvent yourself.

Before watching this video and when I was watching 3x17 I actually imagined myself giving Alec advice about re-thinking doing the propsal at that particular time when Magnus was so broken - I literally made a script in my head. So when he said that he wished someone gave some advice to Alec I was dying!

When Matt said he never used the flexibility rune I was screaming "Malec" haha because he never had them on this back before their first time and after it he had it on his shoulder

@@melsaint8616 remember that scene in the 3b trailer the one where Alec kneeling on the floor of the insitute crying and Izzy Jace& Clary all have the hands on him being supportive and their crying as well. Maybe they try back out of the deal with magnus' father and he shows up and kidnap Magnus. If you watch the clip closely it does look like they might be staring into the bright light of a portal. I heard and read the theory a few times

Heidi Lewis wow, that makes sense, I have been thinking about that and why they are all looking up, I was thinking actually that Magnus got kidnap by lilith as payback to Asmodeus, cause last episode she said that he overtook her place, with magic from his son, so I thought that was her revenge. I like your theory, cause I don’t see Alec giving up without a fight.

@@melsaint8616 I not sure he will take the deal or even get the chance. The previews of the next episode of this show have sometimes been misleading. Make you think one thing and worry you and something completely different happens.

I love how he comments that people in Alec’s life should have questions his decision to propose because of what Magnus is going through, that is so right , of note is Jace who’s only comment was how happy Magnus should be over the idea of marrying Alec! Where is the concern, guilt, gratitude, over this sacrifice that Magnus made for him?they did not spare one line from Jace toward this issue. Instead same old typical cocky shadow hunter.

I swear if I didn't love Malec and certain characters so much I'd have dropped this show a long time ago, to be perfectly honest. I've read better fanfiction than this show

@@eniskrasniqi3688 I think Alec and Izzy are tied since Alec has a higher role being the Head of the Institute, so he have a lot of lives depending on him. I think Magnus is the most helpful since he helped the Shadowhunters multiple times and help saved the world a few times.

I've often thought that. I've seen video after video of people commenting on how sweet, funny & nice he is, to be fair, but those compliments tend to get lost under the barrage of gushing over his looks. It would get really awkward if he weren't so humble & appreciative.
