Farewell Folkestone Harbour Branch III - With 70013 - Part 2
After coal had been taken it was time for the final deafening climb up from the harbour.
Farewell once again Folkestone Harbour branch. Same time next year?
From the junction the train was diesel hauled to Ashford where 70013 took over for the run to Canterbury West. We catch up with the train just to the west of Chartham station firstly at a farm crossing and then at the bridge over the Great Stour.
Following the servicing stop at Canterbury the train is seen three more times, firstly near Sarre, then at a foot crossing near Hillborough and finally at the level crossing at Graveney.

Brings back memories! Thank you
Jolly good show! A fine lot of editing, sequences and marvelous soundtracks. She really pulled herself out pretty well at Folkestone! And the last three shots from Sarre to Graveney were the finest of the film. Very well done Martyn. Deffinatley a five!
Well done Martyn & Alan, another excellent video covering this magnificent loco at it's best..5* Bob
yes, I think you've got the Folkestone branch nailed. Excellent (as always)
Many thanks once again Martyn for another fantastic piece of footage. I say this every time I comment, and I'll say it again now - your videos keep getting better and better. The shots themselves are great, as well as the editing. The best thing though is the camera control. Take note everyone - there is NO camera/tripod wobble like in so many others, and I think this makes your videos a pleasure to watch. It is a shame I can only give this 5*!
Well thought out and executed compilation 5* - Thank you for sharing - Mike
