Awesome! What were the wind speeds while you were blasting along? I'm interested because my brother has a Fareast28R here in New Jersey, USA and I want to get it out on the racecourse :0)

I am really interested in buying a Far East 28R, how does it do upwind? Can it sail in a rough sea?

What speeds are you achieving? Looks pretty darned fast!

About 25kn gusting 28?

About 20-25kn maybe 28 in the gusts (sorry saw your Q a bit late)

It's a fairly easy boat to sail fast, great control and stability with the current new designs. Gybing at speed makes it easier due to less pressure, we dropped to about 10kn in the gybe. The guys on board have much sports boat experience as well.

25 + knots ???????

Many long runs of 17-20 knots, hardly ever dropping under 15. We're doing steady 20 when filming backwards.
