Far-right win first round of French election

“I am sick of being told I've got to vote against someone. I want someone I can actually vote for that I agree with.”
France 24’s Emma James tells Stig Abell many people are “sick of politics here in France” as voters prepare for a second round of voting after the National Rally sweep the first round.

I know far-right people desperately want to be respected and considered as "normal", but your ideas are not respectable or "normal". Starting by considering yourself as "normal" shows that you have your own standard or "normality". The problem is, we all know that the far-right wants their "normality" to be applied to the entire society. We could dig in a little and see what exactly should be considered as "normal", and respected in far-right ideas: - pro Kremlin positions - anti abortion positions - anti LGBTQ+ positions - anti migration positions - extreme religious positions - absolutely no program for climate urgency (which is odd because this will be the cause of MASSIVE and uncontrollable migration waves) ... and so on. We all know that the politicians representing these parties do their best to "clean" their image by avoiding controversial topics in public. Right now, the LGBTQ+ community is worried. Muslims and non-white foreigners are worried. Women are worried that they might lose their reproductive freedom, the scientific community is worried because it is composed of many foreigners... and so on. But you could reassure us by clearly saying that you will never revoke the right to abortion, or gay marriage and adoption, or kick out foreigners for no good reason, or that you will take climate change seriously, or that you have no intention of leaving the EU... stuff like that. Just say so, and then we will look at your migration policies and evaluate them without fearing all the rest.

Honestly to money isn't too bad but cost of living has locals running into pharmaceutical jobs and emigrating. The conditions along with dealing with the public also are factors in locals not going for these positions. I'd imagine this is an issue with many people but it's just an opinion of mine from my experience. It's not meant to cause offense as I work in a field that has many people all over the world and honestly never had a bad word to say about them. In any case where we've been going wrong the last half century and more is we've not been selective nor practiced flexible immigration, so you let in all the Tier 1 skilled people PLUS x % from the Tier 2 community that don't have criminal records, anyone Tier 2 does 35 in a 30 more than once, back home. When there's a downturn, Tier 2 goes home in ascending order of time served here (the longer you've kept your nose clean the likelier you are to stay). This is what happens in Switzerland which is NOT an EU member, but nonetheless they had no problem with me staying more than 90 days as a guest worker back when I contracted there. What war is France fighting? Le Pen has close links to Putin who IS a warmonger. Some info : According to most estimates, every day of the war in Ukraine costs Russia $500 million to $1 billion. That is up to $ 730 billion since the beginning of the special military operation. Since the beginning of the special military operation at least 300, 000 Russian soldiers have been killed. That is not a very good ROI ( return on investment). The Russian people have paid about $ 600 billion and had more than 300,000 of their brothers, husbands and fathers killed in return. Another two years of the so very special military operation' will double these figures: an investment of $ 1,200 billion with an ROI of more than 600 000 dead Russian bodies. How does that compare with President Macron's record. How many French men and women have died in war in that time, Gaia?
