@@purplephantom2441 Anton was one of the more amazing in game parents, wanted the best, he truly believed that slavery was necessary to repair Yara Abt the boat scene, there is a chance Anton made a law abt it Anton may have been the villian but even towards the end u could see the trauma handled He killed Diego to prevent him from going thru what he had

From what I’ve seen in the game was that though Anton and his leaders were cruel and sadistic in the past the country was kinda better off with Castillo’s father as he was somewhat humble and santos Espinosa sold off the country’s assets and left a power vacuum and poverty after the revolution of 67

Yes but I doubt that after this revolution they’ll make the same mistake twice Libertad is different than the golden path their Nine divided they stood for a vision that their leader and hopefully they’ll make that vision a reality of the not gonna rush it like Castillo did their gonna take the time I learned a long time ago that true progress takes time and patience it can’t be sped up you can’t take shortcuts because if you do it gets messy and cluttered you make mistakes and before you know it the finished result isn’t even close to what you wanted

Especially Espinosa was viewed negatively by his own allies, the Legends of 67 for the said reason. One 67 member attempted to assassinate Espinosa in an attempt to take over his place after feeling Espinosa will be an incompetant and corrupt man but was killed by El Tigre for betraying the Communists, and his words did came true when the country fell into economic crisis, which makes El Tigre going into state of depression and mourns him with drugs and alcohol Even Lucky Mama and Lorenzo expressed disillusion towards the Communists, which they believe the same mistakes could have done to Libertad too

I think this game discribes the fate of south america, middle east and africa countries ,ruled by weak goverment which too cruel to keep power coup or be couped , unable to handle the country being free is one thing but keep that freedom is another thing

Anton just want to find a cure, but knowing his life is short he sacrifice his people to his goal, i like he is a realist villain, he know he cant win, he know his son will repeat his past, he choose different fate

Counting the tv/news and announcement he had the most.

I believe (well, it is just a mere hunch), that we met Anton's mother in the opening scene where player was meant to escape Yara. She died protecting her grandson.

Weird how Anton's brother doesn't in the picture. He only mention him once after Jose shoots Diego's last bird.

So Yara prior to 1967 was a Facist dictatorship, after a Soviet backed revolution Yara became a poor backwater communist nation, then went back to a Castilo Facist dictatorship in 2018 did i get that right

Pretty much. It seems Anton repeated his father's mistake. The fact Anton's mother wasn't killed during revolution might be that Anton's parents were already apart from each other. There is also a little scene in the opening when you enter the boat. The kid was accompanied with an elderly woman who looked a little bit like Anton and Diego. The missing mother or just a random caretaker that tried to help Diego? Who really knows.

@@mitchellneuhoff9946 While certainly Jose’s parents might have died, one of his relatives is actually Maria Marquessa, who was Jose’s aunt in law, which I believe he was born from illegitimate parents from Anton’s brother/sister and one of Maria’s relative, explaining the fact Anton did not like him compare to Diego

Someone with normal IQ rate can understand Anton is not evil, his father was good person and made his country rich but they tortured and killed him just because muh "democracy and freedom" they tortured to anton aswell and now he is "brutal" from church and jesus verse scene you can undestand that brutality of Anton not a "action" but a "reaction" reaction against his family being murdered and forced to work and try to survive as poor people, Anton is not the bad guy of the game maybe he is brutal but he is not evil. True bad guys are the "you" and your libertard bullshit because in the end of the game you leave all Yara and country at fire and destruction which anton tried to prevent and protect.

The problem is that they do both the "He's not evil, just stern and had a rough upbringing" and the "he also likes to dip prisoners in molten steel to make statues lol and he uses babies as bumpers for his car" This was my main gripe with far cry 6. If he has thousand of people willing to fight for him, why make him cartoonishly villanous?

I feel sorry for Anton. Every action and every decision he made was all fuelled by trauma unnecessarily and pointlessly cruel at such a young age. His only crime at thirteen was being his father's son. They really didn't have to treat Anton and his mother so cruelly. They had already killed Anton's father. They won. They could have let his widow and his child be exiled from the country or left them alone. And still they had so much hate left they would even want to kill anton's son just for being a Castillo.

Technically what really happened was, Gustavo met Heinsenberg and became rich with his business from Pollos and thats how he became the president of Yara

Anton was like Diego. His dad, Gabriel, was cruel but at least he was working with the world. His dad faced a revolution in 1967 and died to it, and Anton was “re-educated” by being forced to work on a farm. The revolution fell to an idiot and Anton came back to power with his family name in a free (ish) election, then cemented his power by becoming dictator. His grandfather, too, faced revolts. It’s a story that’s mashed up from a lot of Latin American history trends. Anton became cruel due to his experiences and due to something else he’s becoming desperate
