That lodge you seen at the start was the axe to one I went in lol.

I had some amazing holidays in Skegness at Butlins when I was a kid, and Fantasy Island was a firm favourite of ours to visit. So many great memories were made there. It's great to see Fantasy Island looking so great. It looks like they really take care of it. Smashing.

I always went to fantasy island as a kid, it holds some great memories has definitely had an upgrade since I last saw it. I like that there are still features that are familiar 😊

I really don’t want to seem like I’m flexing but my grandad and grandma had a caravan there and I used to go every week I didn’t go on rides or anything I just thought it was funny

love it! take the kids there every year, never have enough of it.

Been going here since I was a kid now I go every year with my family stay just 5 mins away and i still love it the market is great you have Skegness Town center 10 mins away and mapblethorpe 30 mins away always plenty to do my wife and daughter love ot because there's so many arcades 😀

I have walked around there before but iv never actuly been on anything, it was always a good place to visit when we went to butlins. Think its been 15 years since the last time i was there though kinda miss visiting skegness

Me and my family go to Butlins skegness we love going every year. Its lovely walking around the market and the roller coaster going around. Brilliant video

Thanks for sharing, I and my girlfriend are set for our first time to Butlins, Skegness in November and we did not know of Fantasy Island, hence we can include Fantasy Island in to our Butlins staycation... Nice one. 👌

We've just come back from a visit to Ingoldmells last week (11/07/22). We go there every year. It's a no frills seaside/market town and makes no apologies for that. Our kids love it! We've seen a lot of changes over the years (some of which were a shame) but of course, they were done to keep the place alive and it works! Its a good location too and is well situated to allow day visits to surrounding areas such as Skegness, Mablethorpe, Louth, Boston and Lincoln City Centre. You missed another Market which is just over the road, more or less opposite the entrance to the one you visited (there was also a third just at the end of the road next to the Moody Cow pub but that one has now gone and is a car park (it was quite run down to be fair). It's also worth mentioning that there is great access to the beach (and more amusements) to the right of the market entrance. It's quite a popular beach and has recently had a few pubs and takeaways added to it that are on the edge of the sand (hard standing of course). In season there is often entertainment on the beach stage. Oh, and I think the whole mattress sales etc. is due to the amount of caravans and holiday homes that are in the area. That indoor market is now very empty indeed and has has the front completely cleared of the small units presumably for an up and coming development.

Great video Tim the mellors group also does a little seaside in Nottingham Market Square when allows which is exactly the same as fantasy Island beach with a bar paddling pool and rides for the kids

The showbar there was jointly owned with Coastfields holiday village down the road when I worked for Gary Starr Pantos, we ran the entertainment there, nightmare to be honest!

The market is a good half day out, and it is strange mix of market and seaside attractions. Some great ice cream!

Loved it there stayed on a caravan but loads of eurofighter typhoon fighter jets I loved it there I went in 2022

This brings back memories, went here a few times as a kid and I believe the coasters were called the millennium rollercoaster and the cocacola rollercoaster. Really is a top knotch theme park but beware of the scammers.

On a very clear sunny day the roller coaster can be seen from Hunstanton , Norfolk . At night time , the fair ground can be seen all lit up.

visited skegness last year bloody fantastic bars great ingomelds wow transport great restaurants zero too few lets skeness down shame its got everything else but no great food i do not deny chip pan alley satisfies me but growth of such a fine resort should look this aspect looking forward to this years trip

Here i go again - i mentioned that i was the first person(s) to design light and sound to the now Fantasy Island park (soz for going on) - i remembering arriving to site one bitter day when all that was existing was the galaxy (60s style) showbar (you know - table lamps etc) and a big shed type building called Raffles Disco. My brief was to upgrade the disco lighting - EASY - as all that was in the matt black painted place was 1 x 18” mirror ball and two stage spotlight aimed at it - my o my how things changed Raffles became the new Raffles and then fantasy island - from small beginnings as they say Great videos Cheers Rob Blackight international
