It's a testament to how good junior year is that I can see a compilation lasting a FEATURE LENGTH FILM and be like "Yeah, duh"

Well, when you abandon the god who chose you, then abandon the god you willed into being, then witness the second god you willed into being effectively die, that's going to cause some trauma.

Brennan saying No so quietly on that crit was hilarious. He thought Emily was sent from hell to kill him, but Ally blindsided him instead. It was beautiful to watch. His tactics were always on Em that Ally swooped in and destroyed him.

The blurring line between Murph and Riz as Riz get angrier and angrier about the Rat Grinders was a highlight of this season. The shot/reverse-shot of the minis as Riz and Kipperlily scream at each other is absolute gold.

The bits were ON POINT this season. Definitely top 3, maybe even beats Starstruck for my favorite. I feel like it's one of the only seasons where pretty much every episode has a moment that's worth watching it for. Whether it be an insane battle, a random 5 minutes of absolute chaotic idiocy, or insane lore drops and plot twists, they did a great job of making sure there were no skips this season. Well done.

I would love to see this with all the clips in chronological order. Like, show Kristen going up to the Vulture, then show them interacting with the vulture king's riddle, then show Gorgug asking if he's some kind of god. The continuity would be a nice change from constantly jumping around

Honestly, my third time watching this confirms that junior year is my favorite season of d20 ever. Just a perfect balance of bits and story. I love it so much. Also, 1:11:20, Zac’s delivery of this is fucking amazing, followed closely by his “British Kristen” description’s for her insane successes

watching this made me remember that when i watched this season for the first time, was when i found out what "say it don't spray it" means lol. somehow i always thought it was an anti vandalism message for teenagers, which feels crazy now.

5:50 - I got a vibe early in the season that Beardsley's anarchic quirkiness was maybe gonna be at best tiresome and at worst a dealbreaker for me, and to their credit they rode the line all the way to the end. Brennan has talked before about heightening in improv based comedy and how the format incentivises pushing the envelope further and further, and when you're watching performers play TRRPGs, there is that risk of their commitment to doing bits pulling you out of the reality of the world. Mercifully, I think that they managed to hit a very fine balance between the two, but some of the bits this season were truly outrageous.
