Today we’ll show you how this enchanting and beckoning cover for Andi J. Feron’s fantasy Wicked Madness was created 🤩
✨ Our first step was designing the first external layer of the book cover. We picked a simple slightly textured image, slightly changed its color by adding a purple gradient and pasted a decorative frame with floral elements to set the romantic mood.
✨ Next, we added a black silhouette of a girl to start working on the second “internal” layer of the cover. We placed the image of a mysterious old mansion inside the young woman’s image and added red and crimson colors and a huge full moon to make the background look mysterious and mystical.
✨ Then we moved on to designing the image of the main character. We picked a picture of the girl riding a horse, added a hooded cape, and colored it red to make the protagonist’s image more attractive and catchy. The final image of the main character was placed in front of the mansion.
✨ When the composition was ready, we retouched the image, added more light and shadows to make the image look realistic, and used some visual effects to create a fantastical atmosphere with unusual colors and fog.
