I was asked to go see him in Glasgow a few years back so I listened to the opening riff for about 10 seconds of this song. I instantly said yes and it was fucking unbelievable how good they were live. Mind blowing.

Got hold of a Sydney gig guide two weeks ago, saw the name Fantastic Negrito, checked him out on Spotify and was instantly blown away. This is the sort of powerful dirty blues I've been wanting to find for years. Went to the next show available, Oxford Art Factory. Great venue for the best frontman I have ever seen. Negrito your range and talent is incredible. Since then I've been playing your music to everyone that will listen, can't wait till you come back to Sydney.

Revolution in music, what a novel theory. I feel musically we are moving back towards that 60-70 vibe. You know that Vietnam era protest music grandpa listened to way back when. The world we live in looks a lot the same politically as then and the virus our war. This music did not just pop out of nowhere and talent like this has been bubbling towards the surface for years. We are blessed enough for the music to come along when the world needs it most. Fantastic indeed! The lockdown does have its moments.

Just found this amazing artist yesterday, and I have now listened to every song he has on Spotify. This was the one that Spotify first brought to my attention, probably because I am a HUGE blues fan, especially the blues rock of the 60s and 70s, but also the classics like Howlin' Wolf, etc. This is so good and all of his stuff is. It is a perfect modernization of that old old blues feel. I am sad I am late to the party, but I am here now, and so happy to jam.

The irony of the “Led Zeppelin Sound” comments is amusing. I doubt that’s the sound he’s aiming for. The video has many of the iconic bluesmen that Zep ripped off. Just to name the few in the video...Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Skip James, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Lightnin Hopkins, Big Joe Williams, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Son House and Bo Diddley. It’s a known fact that everyone (including the bluesmen) ripped each other off, but Zep took it to another level. They didn’t give credit where it was due, because “they changed the product” Turned a Rolex into a Folex. I’m a fan of Zeppelin, it’s just pitiful that a lot of these black pioneers died destitute. Dick Waterman (the photographer for most of the pictures) was no saint, but brought most of them out of obscurity, so bands like Led Zeppelin, The Stones etc. could even exist. Mississippi Fred McDowell was buried in an unmarked grave until Waterman and Bonnie Raitt bought him a headstone. I dig this tune and give Fantastic Negrito props for the shout out to the roots guys and I like the overall message of the tune.

Your story is amazing, and I appreciate your dedication to your craft and using it to inspire and educate. I’m a paramedic and I’m on the front lines everyday. I see what you’re writing about, but from a different perspective. Keep doing what your doing. We need more artists like you. It’s like Po’ Lightnin’ said "People have learned how to strum a guitar, but they don't have the soul. They don't feel it from the heart. It hurts me. I'm killin' myself to tell them how it is”. Vega gave an answer that few can in this miserable time period that Fantastic Negrito is expressing himself. The blues is an expression of times and situations that we will never experience as they were back then. The British in the 60s are from a different mindset but they had attraction for this music. Some paid tribute and some didn't. Some gave credit and some don't. The point is that the flame is still alive. Times changed, people changed, yet the heartS remained the same. Maybe the functions are triggered by illusions, yet the pain remains a pain. The pain of those times is fused into every guitar fretboard available in this world. It is somewhere there to be found. There are only a few artists that you feel a burn in the first 10 seconds. They've got the fire. Fantastic Negrito I am with you full force. You gave hope to my ears. Keep doing what you do , a friend from Greece. Got this album in vinyl ! Spreading the word.

Beautiful, magnificent and a opulent expression of the soul. I additionally love the facts around in the middle of the video. You connected the problems of murder and it's ties to antidepressants along with other meds for mental problems (Psycho stimulants as I like to call them) and how they can affect people long term in ways not intended and hell even give withdrawal.
