I was a child/teen in the 1970s and always liked the ELO sound and licensed some of the lyrics to Jeff Lynne's song "Strange Magic", which I thought worked perfectly for the novel's ending. Oooh nice to see The Crimes of Rooker Flynn here!! I alpha read the entire trilogy last year and just reread the finished product and shared my review, it's soooo good! Light month for June as I'm still working through Howling Dark. Finished Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang, Silence is Silver (a prequel novella to Harbinger of Justice) by Andrew Watson, and the Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. If you haven't read Harbinger of Justice yet I highly recommend!

It's on my TBR! As is, Murder at Spindle Manor. The Heroes is one of my faves as is Howling Dark. As a matter of fact, I think Howling Dark took me way longer to read than I anticipated.

That, Tigana and Al-Rassan seem to be the three most widely loved GGKs, so I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful time with it. Your One for the Road today is very relevant, SMART goals are the way to go. It does wonders for your mental health when you use that framework and can see yourself make strides.

I’n afraid i have had to officially halt my book buying habits as i prepare for a new job teaching english in Spain. However earlier this month I purchased a biography of Shinzo Abe and the last three Legend of the Galactic Heroes books. I am in the process of purchasing an e-reader though to take with me.

@@BrianBell7 Yes. The setting is more like another character in this book rather than a place. I’ve never been to Minnesota, but this book had me looking at Google maps so I could relate to the places this author clearly loves.

Im just a lonely commenter but...but, Brett Allen sent me a copy of Sly Fox Hollow. I also picked up Dresden Files White Night, To Ride Hells Chasm, Blackwater, Speaks the Nightbird, Middle of the Night by Riley Sager and The Crimes of Rooker Flynn.

I'll wait to hear your opinion on those P.L. Stuart books. As a rule of thumb, I avoid reading works by authors who use pronouns in their bios, and I'll exercise extra caution when it comes to this author, likely due to his publishing being a consequence of "diversity" quotas.

I didn't know that, and honestly, it's a plus in my book. He paid for his publishing, and I respect that. As I said before, I hope his books are good. I'll wait for your opinion about them.
