I love Pedro Pascal and it's awesome to have another huge Latino star, with Oscar Isaac, in the MCU, but I'm very disappointed that it's not John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Like you said, definitely a missed opportunity.

The good news is that Marvel has already made a convincing looking person made of rock (Korg), so they should be able to make a good looking Thing. But they have to fix the tone and filming style of the Cosmic movies. Just because they are more Spaced based doesn't mean they can't still be more grounded like the Captain America: Winter Soldier which was peak MCU

First thing I thought when I first saw Korg. And yeah WS is definitely peak MCU. The need to back off from the cosmic for a while and ground themselves again. I've just finished rewatching the 3 seasons of Daredevil and it is amazing. So grounded. That confrontation between Karen and Fisk in season 3 is some of the best television I've seen and right up there with Cap picking Mjolnir in terms of a very well-earned moment.

I love Pedro Pascal, but I don't see him as Reed Richards. However, I was also unsure about Chris Evans playing Cap back then, and turned out great, so I'll wait and see.

Don't forget that "X-23" was created by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost for episodes of "X-Men:Evolution" back in the 00's before she got her comic series.

When I was a kid back in 2005 I remember watching it with my grandpa and in the post credit scene I wanted to see marvel become the universe the is now and now we have marvel first family in it man I wish he was still alive to see it today

I'm feeling old right about now. Back in 2005, I was an adult seeing it with my brother. The original cast should be the ONLY cast playing the roles, especially Dr.Doom!

Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan already wrote the original script, and Josh Friedman started work on rewrites about a year ago. Friedman previously wrote Terminator: Dark Fate, War of the Worlds, and Avatar: The Way of Water. Kaplan and Springer haven't written anything I've heard of.

You showed cutscenes from Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Major nostalgia there. I had it for Xbox 360. It was awesome when Dr Doom stole Odin’s Power and went on a rampage 😂

If they do bring in Doom, I hope his suit is similar to the one in FF and the Silver Surfer, which was absolutely perfect.

Doom goes back with the family, but they think he dies and leave him in the past, maybe "dies" early in the movie if the time travel is their origin. While trying to replicate the time travel tech he realizes that he could get his revenge easier from the past. So founds latveria and becomes a master sorcerer, but they wait to reveal all about him being alive and what he's been doing until secret war, when he becomes the unexpected "hero"

A simpler version would be that they meet him in the past. He might even have a different name like Rabum Alal for an end credit surprise. He helps them in some way which literally blows up in his face. He blames them and vows revenge but he also knows Galactus could come back so he spends 60 years focusing on becoming powerful enough to destroy both enemies.

I wasn't expecting Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards before the rumors, but he's a great actor so I'm interested in seeing what he does with the character. The cast looks pretty solid in general. I'm also curious to see how they'll handle Galactus, he does make sense but I also thought he was an Avengers-level threat.

In the comics Avengers are actually a low-level threat to Galactus unless aided by powerful technology. FF was traditionally Galactus main antagonists not because of their strength but because of Reed Richards' ingenious intellect above everyone else on Earth

They should make the costumes look like that! Space pajamas LOL. Let's get a a frumpy Vanessa Kirby in pajamas.

I think a interesting way to do victor von doom (not dr doom yet) is to correctly do what they screwed up in Josh tranks movie.which is make him the "5th" crew member that gets left behind by either negligence or by Reed having to make a choice in having sue,jhonny or bens back over victor in a life or death situation.. then when the main crew returns to present day they obviously either assume victor died of old age ect, but later on down the line they find out that he's been a very busy guy, becoming king of latveria somehow, learning magic, and I would cast a younger guy that is reeds understudy in the 60s, and recast a older more well known actor for when he re-emerges, and explain his slowed aging is tied to his knowledge of magic..another thing that might work is victor having a different surname in the 60s that he changes at some point to von doom to explain how Rees and crew dosent recognize him right away in present day.. if he becomes the king of a country that 60+ years he would be a well known figure across the world, but his recast, diffrent last name, and inconsistent ageing ( he should be damn near 100 years old) would explain why Reed n Co simply don't put two n two together right away!! I mean as the smartest man in the world Reed may put it together eventually, bit there is no damn way he would think a 40-50 year old guy who should be 100+ is the same kid they left stranded in the 60s!.. it gives Dr doom plenty if resentment, motive, and time to stew and plan for the teams eventual arrival in present day. It's a great way to create a doom the audience can empathize with, understand his grudge, and if he is written as this young naive kid who idolized Reed, and trusted Reed with his life only to be let down in such a way!?!?if he is also written as possibly getting killed in the attempted return trip to present day! That is another great way to cliffhanger his eventual re-emergence! A diffrent way I can see it going down is whatever way they are using to return to present day whether it's some kind of machine or portal, it's malfunctioning to the point where someone has to operate it manually to keep it open, victor ends up "taking one for the team" and offers to be the one who risks being left behind. When the team makes it thru the portal/machine, it's getting more n more unstable but Reed attempts to pull victor thru regardless,but halfway through the portal the machine ends of completly malfunctioning and explodes while victor is "in"it (like on the bridge connecting the 60s to the present within the machine).. so Rees n crew assumes he died in the accident. Then in the end credits scene we see victor wake up in some kind of pocket demension we haven't seen before... we see a hand (human or other) reach out to victor to help him up! Then cuts to black!.. after that marvel can do what they're known for and give a us small peices throughout more movies about where victor actually ended up, that he was taught magic by whomever we saw help victor up when he ended up it that pocket dememsion, and ultimately explain to us that he somehow held Reed and the team responsible for being stranded there and he held a grudge because they never attempted to come and look for him and he had to find his own way out! somehow he finds out how to return to our demension but was only able to figure out how to return to his point of origin (the 60s)..with his newfound power and knowledge of the mystic arts, as well as his intellect he tries and fails multiple times to find a way to the present, he hold out hope Reed n crew will come for him which never happens, building his resentment n want for revenge for decades!

All the way down to the LIFE magazine cover. Marvel always goes deep with the details. Love it!

Reed is supposed to be about 10 years older than Sue, so not a bad choice.

Franklin, what a terrible character.

Having the Fantastic 4 go from the present-day MCU to the 1960s, where they become superheroes, and then manage to get back to the present at the movie's end doesn't make sense. Didn't anybody ever say to Reed or Sue that they looked just like a member of that 1960s superhero team that saved the world? After they were married, people would almost have to make that connection. You'd think SHIELD would have had a file on them. It would make much more sense for them to travel not to an earlier time in their universe but to a different universe that was 60+ years earlier than the present-day MCU. Alternatively, they could have been from the 1960s, gotten powers, and then travel 60+ years into their future. I think the latter was Peyton Reed's idea for the movie he pitched. Setting most of the film in the 1960s would be really cool, just not the way Charlie suggested.

They're going to need an absurdly good Doom or Galactus, Pedro is not a good fit for Reed. I don't think he can play that type of nerd right, tho Marvel probably can't write it correctly either. He might make a good Doom though...

The reason Herbie was introduced in the FF cartoon was because at the time Marvel did not hold the rights to use the name or character of the Torch. The rights of that character was tied up and was not available at the time of the show. Even though the torch character was the android WW2 Torch that was licensed elsewhere and not the FF Torch. .

Wait, the Celestials are going to be in the movie too? For me, I hope that they have the Silver Surfer in the movie, and he gives Galactus' backstory which tells about the 'human' Galen who survived the death of the previous universe that existed before the current '616 Earth' universe. They 'really' need to do Galactus the right way, and that's following the comics.

I think we will see the live action debut of Jeffery Wright’s Uatu in a film. It will be interesting to see who they get as Alicia Masters and Galactus.

Vanessa Kirby will be amazing as Sue Storm, I don't need any convincing with her. I'm still trying wrap my head around Pedro as Reed. I love Pedro in other roles but I need to see it for myself. The FF being trapped in the 60s is a great reason for why we hadn't seen them before. As for Doom, I'm willing to wait and see how the MCU uses him.

Annihilus would actually make a great villain and they could use the Negative Zone as a way to travel to the 1960s or whatever. Honestly, I want to see different stuff with F4. Their villains aren’t just Doom & Galactus. Like there is Psycho-Man, Mole Man, Diablo, Dragon-Man, & Red Ghost. All would make great villains for a first F4 film. Hell, you could have them facing off against a Kang variant and it would work too if you REALLY want to do time travel stuff. The Negative Zone / Annihilus thing works with them being gone so far in the MCU.

I'm not upset with the castings, but for Joseph Quinn and Pedro, I have a hard time actually seeing them as Johnny Storm and Reed Richards. Still exciting to see what they do with the characters and story, but they are just interesting picks for the characters in my opinion. Ebon Moss-Bachrach is definitely who I am most excited to see, as he was my favorite fan-casting pick for Ben Grimm/The Thing. Edit: Also, not saying Joseph or Pedro are bad actors and will do bad job. They are both spectacular actors, especially Pedro, just wouldn't be my top 4 picks for either of the characters they were cast as. I'm sure they will be... Fantastic.

I really really really wish they wouldn't have cast Pedro Paskal as Reed Richards. He's got to shave the mustach and totally change his haircut to make it somewhat right.

I’m very excited & interested for this movie!! I’m still unsure about Pedro pascal as Mr. Fantastic but from what I’ve seen him in, I do like him as an actor so I’ll stay open to see how Pedro does the role of Reed Richards. I’m totally down for Galactus to be the main villain of the movie! That would be a different and interesting direction since In both of the last iterations of the Fantastic 4 story Dr. Doom was the villian of those versions of the story. Since Dr. Doom is an Avengers and Fantastic 4 villian/ big bad, he deserves to be a big bad of a completely separate future chapter/ saga of the MCU so I’m totally down for there to be references and Easter eggs of him throughout this movie to set him up.

What if they're at a point in space where time moves differently like the ticks in interstellar. They were gone for years when it was just a few hours where they were. That'll explain why they were gone for so long and still the same age they were in the 60s🤯

Chris Evans did a great Johnny Storm in the first two FF movies, and the Michael Chiklis pretty good too.

Same - still kinda want Stephen Colbert to play Reed, cuz his Professor Impossible was, I think, the best Reed adaptation we've ever gotten :)

I was 15 when I secret wars came out and it’s one of my favorite story’s I literally made my mom take me to the comic book store to get all the issues so when I saw the issue in Deadpool it’s obvious they’re going in that direction and I hope soo too if it’s done right it’s gonna be amazing

A thought, although I wouldnt put to much stock into it, Rather than time travel (Which make sense - TBA/references e.t.c.) the image could mean it took place during WandaVision establishing the side timeline. Although I think the Easter Egg in Avengers where Tony has bought the F4 Tower kind of limits this idea as Time Travel during Avengers e.t.c. Would cover more bases story wise.

Galactus is supposed to be the main villain of the movie at the moment.

The cast look fantastic it so exciting to see them play marvel's first family in the MCU.

I can’t wait for filming to start and to learn more cast members! They must be starting in the next few months if they want to make that date.

If they start in the present, go to the past, and come Back To The Future, that WOULD explain why no one knew of them...yet. Yet in the sense that before the Sacred Timeline birthed the current iteration of the multiverse (see Loki s2) time travel didn't work like it does in movies, books, comics, etc (see time travel (pre-Loki s2) explanation from Hulk). Now that we have a multiverse, I'm going with the idea that time travel works the way all other media explains it, which does NOT make the Dr Strange quip in Multiverse Of Madness a problem since with his wider awareness of...everything...he may have bee exposed to some evidence of their presence in the 60's. I want Reed to be the super-genius he is in the comics. I mention this because knowing the scrap of the potential plot that we now know, I'm VERY hopeful that there will be NO bit where Reed is seen as brilliant due to someone thinking he created all the tech aboard his 2020's ship when it gets to the 60's. If I drive a Tesla into the 1960's the locals may mistakenly believe I created it. So...present to past to present again in the same movie...handle Galactus in the 1960s and now...and whatever else happens in the film... How friggin' long is this movie going to be, man??? IF a movie is incredibly awesome and we love every bit of it we'll be fine with a longer run time but I thought the MCU was reversing the trend on runtimes..?

i don't think that's galactus in the background as much as I'd love for him to appear in the film that just looks like a rough outline of a city skyline to me

What if Dr Doom is on the same mission as the Fantastic Four but when the F4 get sent to the 60s, Doom gets sent to later in the timeline and that’s when he enters in Avengers 5 as the big bad for the end of the film and pushing him to the major villain in secret wars

Yo! Damn! That’s not a bad idea! I like that idea a lot!! I grew up with the OG 2005 version of the Fantastic 4 and Victor von doom was infected by the storm as well in that version of the team

I absolutely love the X-Men from Marvel so much so, that I have a detailed fan theory as to how the X-Men could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe: keep First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 1 & 2, New Mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline as there is a massive gap between 1963-1995 with the Dark Phoenix cast appearing in Deadpool 1&2, these films can happen after the events of Dark Phoenix and since Essex Corps is referenced in New Mutants, this could happen in the Dark Phoenix timeline after these events, Professor X uses Cerebro to convince the world that mutants don't exist and erase any new mutant activities from people's minds whenever one is witnessed. however the only person who knows is Nick Fury, who agrees with Professor X to keep tabs on any new mutant activity. this is also referenced in a deleted scene from Iron Man 1, when Nick mentions X-Men the X-Men can work in secret between 1992 up until Endgame. when Tony Stark snaps his fingers, the mind stone reverses the effects of Professor X's actions. resulting in the public now remembering who the X-Men are as for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Hydra's meddling with the mind stone prematurely reversed Professor X's actions, as it was mentioned that the mind stone unlocks dormant abilities already present in the brain my theory brings the Dark Phoenix X-Men cast into the MCU, thus eliminating the need to recast the entire X-Men team. the actors are young, they've expressed interest in returning and continuing their roles. it's an option for Marvel Studios to do that I've explained my theory to a lot of people, most of whom say it works. others say it won't work and demand i should forget everything about the Fox X-Men films and be happy with what Disney/Marvel Studios are going to do with the X-Men I will probably receive a lot of negative feedback about my theory, nothing is set in stone, if Marvel Studios can bring back JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson/the Sony Spider-cast, why won't they bring back the Dark Phoenix cast? there are multiple websites that support my theory, along with the Iron Man 1 deleted post credit scene. not only that, something similar happened in the comics (Robert Reynolds/Sentry and Gabriel Summers/Vulcan) since Days of Future Past rewrote the timeline, X-trilogy/Wolverine trilogy no longer take place as the ending to Dark Phoenix doesn't connect to the original trilogy, leaving it open for possible future sequels. as I mentioned, the Dark Phoenix cast could return and continue James McAvoy - Professor X Michael Fassbender - Magneto Tye Sheridan - Cyclops Nicholas Hoult - Beast Alexandra Shipp - Storm Kodi Smitt-Mcphee - Nightcrawler Sophie Turner - Jean Grey Josh Brolin - Cable Brianna Hildebrand - NTW Stefan Kapicic - Colossus Olivia Munn - Psylocke Peter Dinklage - Bolivar Trask Oscar Isaac - Apocalypse Rose Byrne - Moira McTaggart Anya Taylor-Joy - Magik as I've mentioned, in my X-Men MCU timeline, Mystique dies and Quicksilver dies after Avengers 2. the other X-Men characters I don't mind recasting, as long as they keep the cast I mention above aswell as try to follow my fan theory

I think the thing with the astronaut suit is that its just more recognizable and iconic looking than the suits were in the 60's...I think this movie will start in the 60's and end in the present day. Whatever mission they had that led to them getting powers also got them lost in the Negative Zone this whole time that's why no one knew them as super heroes back then and just knew them as "victims" of a space mission gone wrong

I couldn't be happier with this cast and director.

Love Pascal but I just can't imagine him pulling off a convincing Reed Richards. It's not he isn't a great actor, but some people are just not right for a role. I personally see Pascal as more of a Hulk style character.

They absolutely got Reed Richards wrong. I don't even understand what's so hard about casting. Richards has a definite classical look and they should be able to find an actor who is similar in look to the original comic character!

Maybe John K can play a different variant again in Secret Wars, fingers crossed!

Still don't like the Pedro Pascal casting

Yeah it's becoming a Chris Pratt situation and Pedro is in everything sci-fi like Pratt is everything animated. Wish they went with a somewhat less well known and more dramatic actor like Domhnall Gleeson

Anyone complaining about Pedro's casting I think is just complaining because Marvel has been absolute trash for a while now. If the movie is good no one will care he's Reed. I wouldn't care if it was a nutty professor situation and he played 3 characters, just make the movies good.

I know Pedro gonna kill it but I got Pedro burnout man! Don't wanna end up disliking him

I hope the Thing looks like the concept art you showed. I have not liked the previous two movie renditions. Would be fun to see Johnny meet the Stark Expo Torch. In the comics, the FF beat Galactus the first time with the help of the Watcher. It was his first interference with history by giving Reed the Ultimate Nullifier.

If this pays homage to the LIFE cover featuring President Johnson it seems to me that the cover of Ben's magazine looks a little like The Beast who was on the president's cabinet in XMEN:The Last Stand. The face isn't totally blue--Then it looks like Wolverine. Just an observation
