My boyfriend and I did the Blue Bayou dining package for our anniversary and it was so cool! It came with a 3 course meal (you get to pick your choices off of a fixed menu) which included and appetizer, entree, and dessert, and we also got a non-alcoholic drink! Then they gave us these cute little seat cushions too, which were a nice surprise! I had no idea we were going to get those! And the seating was front and center, right up against the gate. We had to save up for a while to afford the BB package but I would say it was worth it because a normal entree plate costs about $40-50 by itself! I'm not sure if the dining package had smaller portions than normal but it didn't seem small at all, and it was SO much food! I couldn't even finish my dessert because I was so full! It was great and I would definitely recommend doing any of the dining packages because it saves you a lot of time (not having to wait and save seats) and you get a great meal and great seats! Plus, it's a really fun experience with any of the packages, I'm sure!

Hello! Yes, we did it in September of this year. I didn't know they were going to give us seat cushions because as you said, it wasn't listed on the menu package! I don't know if it was just while supplies last or if they are continuing to do this. Hope this helps!

For those who have never been to Disneyland or at least have never seen Fantasmic, it's important you know that "seats" means sitting on the ground! I understand this is the only option because of the location of the show, but this has always made me sad because I'm not physically able to sit on the ground. I think there may be an area for wheelchairs and ECVs, but in my past experience this area doesn't accommodate someone like me. In October of 2014 I lived out a bucket-list-dream-come-true when my husband and I splurged on the reserved seating dessert party they used to offer. It was perfect! We got to sit in chairs (yes, chairs!), and we were lucky enough to get seats right in the center! The reserved area was on the raised level behind the ground seating. Cast members waited on us, bringing us a lovely tray of sweets, fruit, cheese, and crackers, along with a choice of beverage. I loved everything about it, but most importantly the chair! I'm so sorry this is no longer an option! If I ever want to see this show again I'll probably have to rent a wheelchair or ECV. Fantastasmic is definitely worth it!

@TooMuchWonderful, When I went, I sat in a chair! Specifically, I got the River Belle Terrace package, which is normally $45, but for $15 extra, you can upgrade to patio seating! They seat you at 8pm, you eat your meal, and then you watch Fantasmic right from your table at 9 (or whenever it starts that night). RBT is undergoing refurbishment right now, but it'll be back in November! This seating option was perfect for my dad who can't sit on the floor either :)

We recently did the dining package at River Belle and it was great. I wasn't too fond of the price in the beginning but by dessert I thought the price was worth it. We couldn't even finish our desserts because we were so full and we usually eat everything on our plates. Also, the seating was perfect. I recommend the dining packages at least one time just for the great seating locations.

I was lucky enough to dine at Blue Bayou and it's soooo worth it. The food was great and the seats were amazing! We were front row middle and only waited like 20 minutes. Definitely recommend :-)

this helped us a lot!! We tried for Blue Bayou - sold out; We tried River Belle - Sold out so we went for Hungry Bear and after seeing your vlog here you are so right that if the Blue Bayou or River Belle don't fill up then Hungry Bear sits in the same exact spot! We sat behind some Blue Bayou people and our view was better because they were right up by the fence (their choice because they were let in first and just went right to the front). It helped that we went to the second show of fantasmic and a lot of people had left the park. The Teddi Barra was sold out so we only got the Blue Sky soda - which was refreshing. Thanks so much!! I know Thingamavlogs is signed off but I'm trying to keep following your individual accounts!

That lavender drink really is the best thing ever.

oh - and the section where you have marked for Blue Bayou - because there were so few people, we were sitting there and the only difference I could see was that they got a cushion with Disney characters on it -which I would totally buy that but $65-70 for the meal wouldn't be worth it- we're a family of 4 so that adds up! With the Hungry Bear meal, I had the Salmon, rice and the salad - all was super fresh and delicious.

We did the dinner package when we were there in August. If you do the 8 o’clock seating at river Bell you actually get to sit and eat dinner while you watch the show. The menu is the same. However the price becomes $65 for the 8 o’clock seating. However it’s the only place where you can actually eat dinner have a seat at a table and watch the show.

I did a fantasmic dinner at Hollywood and Vine before and it was great . It was a Mickey and Minnie character dinner and the food was buffet style.

ive actually done blue byu and it was AMAZING, the food was so worth it steak and chicken were amazing and we also got a side of mac and cheese and that was amazing. we also got very good seats for the show plus a collector line yard with the little light logo on it that had the sticker showing the fantasmic icon. So worth the price

I've never really considered any of the dining packages for the shows because they've always seemed so expensive. But that one is not bad! And there's an AP discount? Pretty good if you ask me. :D

I did one for paint the night and got a Kids meal! With an AP discount it costs as much as pretty much any meal in Disneyland and we had a great view!

Fun story: New Year's Eve of 2008-2009, we did a Fantasmic dessert package that you had to reserve a month in advance! It was nice though. You actually got to sit in chairs! They gave you this really nice tray of assorted desserts. We were so excited to see Fantasmic, and then... it got cancelled due to heavy fog. You could barely see Tom Sawyer's Island! Disney was nice enough to give us all a full refund and let us keep our desserts.

I did the Hungry Bear dining package the first week Fantasmic came back and it was a great idea. Unfortunately it was a little more packed in our section that night so we had to stand but it wasn't too bad. Still had a great view. The food was good, had the pork ribs and enjoyed them, salad wasn't my thing but it wasn't awful.

I did the fantasmic package at WDW at Hollywood N Vine! It was really good and we had great seats

I used the Hungry Bear package a couple of weeks back. The view for fantasmic was amazing so impressed. Recommend it to anyone!

I work at cafe orleans and riverbelle so ive done both packages and i think its worth it especially for the seating you get!

Tiff is honestly me because I wouldn’t eat the salad or the rice, and I eat my burgers plain. As tiff said “I eat like a child”😂😂😂

Angel Ella There are also dining packages for WOC! Last weekend we tried the one at Ariel's grotto-- yummy food and a short walk to a priority viewing area with an AWESOME view!

Angel Ella they're always changing things! I'm an AP, but I live in NorCal and only get to go about once a month--every time I go they're trying something new out. I've also seen that they're doing WOC dessert viewing packages. Seems that you get a table on an elevated platform and desserts while the show is going on. I think I checked the prices and decided a full meal was a better deal, though!

EpicBerserker Oh snap! And here was I thinking that redesign would be impacting the area from CA Screaming to Goofy's Flight School-ish-- that's why the Coco dining/show area opened up. But the entire Pier! Dang. Well, it was fun while it lasted. I love Pixar, so I'm pretty stoked about this... as long as they don't mess with WOC!

I did the River Belle dinner package when Fantasmic first premiered. The food wasn’t my fav but it was a full course meal and the viewing area was AMAZING. My family wants to stay a weekend at one of the Disneyland hotels except we’re trying to save money in the parks. Would you happen to know if the hotels can give Fantasmic fast passes to guests? Also, how much is the Cafe Orleans dinner package? It’s my favorite restaurant in Disneyland. If it’s pricey I’ll probably try getting a dinner package with Hungry Bear. Also, my 2 uncles happened to be in the parks the same day as Fantasmic premiered. Our viewing area was pretty empty so I asked if there was anyway to let them sit with me and they were nice enough to say yes!

Pissed bc when I got the hungry bear dining package they put us in standing :/ and more to the side wasn’t worth it!! Should’ve waited 😭 I’ll def do it again to get those seats
