This joy Sunday Kitte looks to be so beautifully charted. The project I am working on currently came with fabric that wasn't even cut straight, let alone surged. Also its threads were in one big Hank and had to be separated, which was almost impossible so I went out and bought all new threads. This project looks like it will be quite fun to do

@@desertowlcrafting no. It was a kit Janlynn I think. Made in America. That's what's kind of funny about it

I'm having almost the same experience with a DIY kit from Everydayedeals 😖 I'm gonna finish it....but now I'm learning to be more informed about what I order and from whom.

Try braiding the threads together and that will help from tangling. Be careful not to braid them too tightly. And it's not to hard the threads you need.. I learned this trick from Lovecraft forever on KZread.

I liked the kits except for the Aurora Borealis which looks to be a copy of a Dimensions kit. I love the prices in these things, and the floss looks to be of good quality, but the unauthorized (I assume) copy bothers me greatly

I agree. Hate to be a fun sponge but unfortunately Joy Sunday has been known to steal artwork online, run the images through pattern generators and sell them without paying the artist or giving credit. For instance the first one "Looking Up At the Moon" the real artist is Svetlana Adiyanova she's a russian watercolor artist who sells her paintings online. These people. Anyway, you have some lovely projects that I would love to see stitched.

Quick question (I'm new to cross stitching)--What's the difference between 9 count and 11 count? I understand that one has more squares per inch or something, but what's the effect of that difference? Is one harder to see or more challenging in some other way? Is there an aesthetic difference in the final product?

Great question! Yes, the count is squares per inch. So the higher the number, the smaller the squares. I think with higher counts, you get more detail in the pictures. Higher counts are harder to see, but I use a magnifier light with these. I prefer 14 count and have ordered some 16 and 18 count. When they arrive, I will do a comparison video. It's all about what you are most comfortable stitching. Seems like everyone has their favorite 😊

Yes, the kits come with a paper pattern and instructions on how to cross stitch. It is really easy. I will be posting a cross stitching video very soon. Thank you for watching!
