It was the “Lucas Im scared” and the “I don’t wanna die, I’m not ready” that broke me. This was one of the few times where I shed a tear during a series. The first time being Infinity War. But damn, the acting here was incredible!

Lucas's cries get me every time! I think if Max does wake up it'll be like, she'll be alive but she won't be a whole person. Because remember Vecna said he doesn't just kill them he "absorbs" them. He took a piece of Max and probably the only way to get her back will be to destroy Vecna.

At the same time, I'd bet that once Vecna is dead he may "release" her mind and she will regain consciousness. Or, the fact that she is "inside his head" means she can access his thoughts and plans, and maybe El will be able to communicate with her that way and ultimately defeat him?

Never in my years of watching TV has a season finale left me feeling so empty and hopeless.

As sad as this scene was...Caleb did an amazing job....Love Lucas and Max

Idk what’s more gut wrenching the fact that max knows or the utter anguish that Lucas is going through begging for her not too go

Sadie and Caleb need all the awards between the two of them they broke us all!

Caleb McLaughlin has incredible acting in this scene. Bravo!

Eddie's scene and then this, too much emotion man!

This scene left me inconsolable. Even though Max is revived like a min after, this is still probably the most terrifying death in the show. Think abt it, Vecna finishes off his victims while they’re still in their trance. But Max snapped out of it & actually experienced the aftermath: she, a child no less, was blinded, all her limbs were broken & she was struggling to breath as she cried, “I don’t wanna go I’m not ready to die”. I can’t imagine what was going through Max’s head during this. I wouldn’t even wish this on my worst enemy. Here’s to hoping she wakes up from that coma next season. But for now, count you’re blessings & live life to the fullest, you never know what moment will be your last.

This season was the only time I’ve cried watching stranger things it’s literally so sad like max an Eddie are my fav characters:(

Me and my girlfriend cried so hard, first Eddie and now max we were BROKEN

Seeing El there in spirit got me good. MBB is too good at crying.

Yup I was sobbing! Max was El’s first “girl” friend. They have such a special relationship and that just hurt to watch.

The most heartbreaking heart-wrenching moment and death in this series only for them to fuck with us and take it back from us and have her survive.

Why does everyone say she died,she isn't dead she is just in a comma

I was kinda disappointed that Max might still live. Four seasons in, this show needs to have more risks. They only kill new characters every season. Which is why Eddie’s death didnt really surprise me. Its still sad though.
