There’s a whole thing of chuuya trying to beat him to the exec place, because in 15 mori said to him that if dazai got there first he’d take the information from Rimbaud that mori was holding over Chuuyas head and destroy it (of course it’s clarified that dazai wouldn’t do that and mori just said that to keep chuuya in the pm but that’s beside the point)

i just wanna say this: Chuuya was talking abt Dazai as an executive working with him abt Arahabaki but that's wrong. That happened when they're 15 ys old and at that time, Dazai had just joined the mafia. If I'm not wrong, Chuuya actually was the one who became an exucutive first, then Dazai became one not long after but since Dazai was borned after Chuuya 2 months, he became the younger one and gained the "youngest executive" title.

it's probably a translation error. bc the wiki states otherwise and says chuuya became executive first. it has was never stated at what age chuuya was promoted to that position. but we know dazai was already executive at 16, but there's no indication that chuuya was already one back then. it's implied that chuuya became an executive after dazai left but that being implied from what we know from english translations is much different from that being confirmed. So i guess the best answer is that until it's confirmed who became executive first, then its up to interpretation of our/their own. so i think it's fine that the creator said so in their reaction vid. from my own perspective the wiki says, "Throughout this, Dazai is shown to resent Chūya's excessive use of violence and over-the-top methods of defeating the enemy, while Chūya scorns Dazai's suicidal tendencies and more strategic approaches. Chūya is also slightly irritated by the fact that Dazai took Chūya's title of the Port Mafia's youngest executive away from him.[42]" **BUT** this could mean two DIFFERENT things. It could mean they were **both** competing for the title of "youngest executive" as in, "who would become executive first?" since they're only 2 months apart anyways. OR!!! as you said, chuuya could've become executive first and then dazai within those two months of his birthday. but even as someone who likes chuuya more than dazai, i personally still would think Mori would choose dazai to become executive before chuuya. BECAUSE; dazai was alr known as his "right hand man" of sorts. Or well he was confirmed to be so during the Guild wars. Chuuya is reliable, and loyal but dazai will always be more prudent and wiser which is what Mori values.

@@circIing yeah ok, abt the executive thing, we should just let it be a not-confirmed information, and let people believed whatever they want. The main thing i wanna say is Dazai was not an executive at his 15 and it's definitely confirmed.
