Looked up Cheyenne shawl dance as I'm rereading the latest Longmire novel. This is absolutely beautiful! I wanted to get up and dance while watching, but my body (especially my knees) could not handle it. (I miss the Snow Dance festivals that were held at Incline Village, NV.)

Blue Medicine Well singers pumping out a good song for the Shawlers. This is biggest "Group One" I've seen. Still need good camera people to follow flow of the dancers. Bouncing around on static cam shots not the same look. Good though to promote the culture, take this to new level. All the Big Casinos out there could chip-in to pay for professional camera crew, the dancers deserve it.

It is very hard, but you do have to look at foot, the way they move, how fast they move, and how in beat they are

Antì Soćiał, Our Nindede (Dad) always lost weight during the Pow-Wow season. Lots of ribbing and laughter with that one. He was one of our traditional dancers and loved the Pow-Wow trail. I wish you the best, and have lots of fun this summer. Be well, Ma’iingankwe
