In the context of this fan comic, he only has 5 or so years more life experience than Aurora does. Shadow's age is a mess. He was created _physically_ 14 a very long time ago and was put on ice before he had enough life experience to be considered mentally comparable to a small child.

Does anyone else find it off that Aurora and Shadow interacted before she was an adult and now they’re dating? In one drawing he’s holding her as a baby, she’s like “my future bf” and shadow is flustered by it with blush on his cheeks? And there’s one where he’s helping patch her up from falling of a bike. I know he was frozen for 50 years but he was around when Aurora was a baby so he’s at least gained 18 years. I dont know just something off to me I guess

There's a comic dub where aurora travels back in time and everyones wondering who she is, I find it hilarious that when she wakes up the first thing she does is hug shadow and kiss him on the lips and sonic clutches his cheast in pain since he was unknowingly witnessed his future daughter kiss his most despised frenemy.
