Just got it installed and turned on my PlayStation and it is already working perfectly. Don’t have to do the app or anything. Was very surprised. Everyone made it seem like I had to do the app and stuff to calibrate it. It blew me away.

Yeah, I ended up doing the app to make sure everything was at 100% and tested out all the scene stuff. Very happy with it. Thanks for the review again and you helped me make my purchase. This is a great product. So happy with it. I was all giddy for at least an hour watching tv. Haha.

Thank you so much, so my Wi-Fi set up in my new apartment is trash lol but I cant use Philip hues. Which im mad because I spent a lot of money on it lol. But this solves my problems and the 3 hdmi out that’s coming soon. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.

Great review. How does it know where the corners of the TV are so that it matches what's on the screen? Like a 60 inch tv would have different length to a corner than a 80 inch tv.

Thanks!! My total guess would be that it works out the length based on where the LED terminates and then matches up to the aspect ratio of the display.

How did you get them to send it to you with only 138 subs?

I've got a question: I watch lots of contents with subtitles, and I wonder how it behaves in those conditions, particularly in widescreen/letterbox with subtitles in the black bar at the bottom of the screen... Does it flash white light underneath the TV when the subtitles pop? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Interesting question. I can check that! Bit tricky as my TV is on the stand so less light shows but I can check what the LEDs are doing.

I checked on a few things but on all of them the subtitles overlapped the film and the black letterbox. In this scenario it didn’t make the lights react. Might be different if the subtitle is much lower.

These are from KZread. Just lookup 4K colour test or similar and you should get lots of videos to show off your setup!

I slowed down the playback speed to 25% and i can clearly see LAG during the mario bros scene when it switches from blue to orange. Has this been improved at all in firmware since this review? Thanks!

Hi, the diffusion speed changes the effect so much it's tricky to comment on lag. I suspect it's one of those cases when you have to try for yourself to see if it's right for you.

Is the gaming bundle also compatible with watching movies or is it only compatible with the console?

Hi! It needs an hdmi device but doesn’t have to be a console. Devices like Apple TV or Fire Stick will work also. There’s a compatibility section against each product on their website if you want to be sure.

Would the 2.1 sync box be good for watching animes and other things? Or it is mainly good for gaming?!

Still very cool but if you’re not gaming then the HDMI 2.0 version might be better value if it’s cheaper. So long as you’re watching from a device that connects via hdmi.

Yes there are some that do that. So Fancy do triangles for example, and they’re not physically connected to the sync box, but will sync with it because of the app.

It uses a mobile phone app. I’ve checked and Sky boxes aren’t listed in their compatibility list but if you contact them via their website they’ll be able to confirm.

Not that I know of. You’d likely need to use Fancy LED lighting kits to work with their app etc.

I wish it hand 2 or 3 hdmi inputs

Probably not but you’re not getting the most of the box. There’s an hdmi 2.0 version which might be a better option depending on whether you’d be likely to upgrade to hdmi 2.1 in the near future.

It’s needed for setup and app control. It will work without being online after that but I’ve not tested any long term use without wifi as my setup needs it.
