They say “don’t meet your heroes” but honestly Taeyang feels like he’d be the best person to meet for someone who idolizes him. What a humble, down-to-earth, kind hearted, and gentle soul. He never seemed annoyed with Yoongi’s fanboying, in fact he seemed endeared by it. He gave advice not as an arrogant senior artist but only when Yoongi asked as an experienced mentor. Love this interview.

So so true. I have to agree. Some people get arrogant and mean with fame, but Taeyang seems like a pretty decent guy. And he seemed pretty charmed by Yoongi (and Jimin during the VIBE promos) being such big fanboys of him. He seems to find their excitement adorable and sweet judging by the warm smiles he gives them whenever they gush over him or blush about meeting their idol. It's so funny to see the tables turn in the following episode with Hoshi. Suddenly Yoongi got to be the elder who gave advice and took good care of his junior, smiling warmly while Hoshi got excited about meeting up.

Taeyang is 34 and he debuted when he was 17 in 2006. The crazy thing is Taeyang looks the same as he did 10 years ago at 24, the man is a vampire.

Whoever decided to give SUGA a whole talk show deserves our respect and applause. I need at least 25 episodes. I love watching artists interview other artists/creatives--you get another level of perspective and insight compared to what you'd get from a professional journalist or TV personality. SUGA is a natural and a delight to watch in this format!

He's the one I've always wished I could sit down with to talk about writing - I just knew it would be a great conversation - and now I can see I was right. It's crazy how you can really see Jimin in Taeyang. They have somewhat similar mannerisms. And Yoongi saying Jimin used to imitate Taeyang makes sense. You can see the similarities in the way they talk and even the way they smile.

Apple Music posted a tweet selfie of Taeyang and Jimin and I swear they could be brothers how similar they look. I noticed Jimin and Taeyang really hit it off because the only person I've seen Taeyang this smitten about is G Dragon which is his best friend.

Yoongi's the king, he's the boss, but he turned into a gooey cutie pie talking to Taeyang. 🤩

If you count his child acting era, Taeyang has more than 20 years of experience. He started out as a child actor before he joined yg. There he became a rapper, along with his bff GD. They were already active as kids then had a pause when they became trainees and debuted with BB in 2006. So it's not really a surprise to see how wise Taeyang has become over the years and I am so happy that he got to meet Yoongi like this. After everything they've been through, I feel like they both really needed that conversation. I'm just ao happy for both of them and I really hope they would keep in touch cos I know Yoongi still has more questions for him. 🤣

This is such an adorable episode of Suchwita. BTS would always say, especially SUGA, that they had a hard time adjusting when they first got international attention because they have no one to talk to, to ask advice on how to face it, or just simply have someone to talk about it but each other...and then this happened. 🥲 I can only imagine how elated Yoongi must have felt the entire time. I was 14 when I heard a kpop sonh for the first time!!It was wedding dress by Taeyang and later went on discovering BIGBANG!!In korea singers really have short life..but seeing BIGBANG'S relevancy till now is so cool! They have always broken the genre the standards and never hidden their vices!! The most raw natural and talented group ever!

This was such a good episode. Loved seeing Yoongi be the biggest fan boy but in such a truly respectful way. Two legends meeting and working together is more than we can ask for. I highly recommend you listen to or watch some of Big Bang songs, especially Taeyang's solo work. You will see why BTS looked up to them and how they inspired their music and performances. So proud to be a big fan of these talented and humble musicians!

Lol Taeyang is 34, and yes, Jimin always admired him for so long, so for Jimin to work with his idol must be a dream come true. BB was the group that I stan back in the day and Taeyang and TOP were my biases which I still follow on IG. I discovered BTS thanks to BB tbh.

Everything about this is amazing. Yoongi being a fan is so adorable. Taeyang being so honest with his responses, and so humble at the same time. Giving all of us an insider's view of the industry at the artists level. The way they both praise Jimin for his level of professionalism and his performance level - because that's how BTS do it. (Yoongi is so proud of his Jimin). Taeyang seems very personable and down to earth with a healthy understanding of what it means to surround yourself the right kind of people. Family comes first, not just your beautiful wife and child, but your team as well. One of the best interviews with a K-Pop Idol I've seen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Yoongi once say that if he wasn't an idol, he would be a news anchor? Love Suchwita!

I just love how grounded both Yoongi and Taeyang are. Love and respect for each other are everything in this once in a lifetime interview. And we're all lucky that we get to see this kind of interaction with both of the greatest Artists in their own respective era. This was honestly such a great interview. BigBang was my introduction to k-pop in 2012. I didn’t really dive into k music back then, but there music definitely made an impact. Before this interview, I really didn’t know much about Taeyang as a person - and I only knew a little of his solo music. I knew that BTS and Jimin specifically, thought highly of BigBang and Taeyang. This interview humanized him, he’s not just an idol.. he’s a lovely man. Really enjoyed rewatching this with you guys~ 😁💜

Glad you think so. Some fans may have pre-conceived notion about BIGBANG being intimidating, crazy and wild but they are laidback off stage and some are introverted. TOP and GD seem introspective, which made sense for TOP espeically since art runs in their family and he's huge art collector. Same with Jiyong. Daesung is very witty and funny, and while many calls him ugly, he's considered the player of the group lol. I guess they're the most friendly and engaging, along with Ri and Tae. Their songs also reflect their personal issues like Loser, Monster, Sober to name a few. While many adore their bangers, I'm more drawn to their sincere, organic releases. I love this interaction with Yoongi. 🥰

This is little MEOW MEOW, guys! Suga was starstruck, and it's so sweet to see this side of him! Also, it's a chance to see an older Kpop star from a huge group AFTER military service. I think Suga was nervous to see what he might experience career wise in terms of timeline and work. I loved e3 of his show! BTS FOREVER 💜💜💜Plus, the part about having those around you who are strong enough to say no to you/your choices is golden at any point in life, but especially when you're rich and famous. It was so touching to see Suga ask for genuine advice 😢 💜💜💜

Yoongi having this show might be shocking if you think of him as an introvert, but it's not too surprising if you remember how he always hinted about wanting to be a Radio DJ or a news anchor in the past (which is why we get all the BTS FM style talk during Festa with Yoongi hosting). I'm glad that he got the chance to have this interview. BTS always said that they had no one to talk to when they first started big or even when they debuted, cause they had no "seniors" to ask advice from, but now he gets to talk about his concerns with his idol and gets advice from him. Bigbang was huge at their prime, and a lot of kpop groups today, including BTS, have said how Bigbang influenced them a lot (to compare, it's just like how 4th gen groups often mentioned BTS as their influence, so it does feel like a cycle). Despite only 5 years older than Yoongi, Taeyang was barely 20 when Bigbang became huge globally, so he did have more experience that Yoong might have been able to learn from. Idk how many times I've watched this interview, but it feels so wholesome to watch two inspiring people share their thoughts while being humble and respectful to each other.

Thank you guys for being real too. You guys make me laugh and smile.😄Taeyang has a lot of wisdom and has grown up to be a real man. Awesome music too. I just loved seeing cool cat Suga get all flustered on this one. I love that he gets to some depth. This world is so superficial. We need stuff like this. Where people get real. Loved it!

Taeyang is only 34 years old. His and Suga’s age difference is similar to that of Jin and Jungkook. 😊 He was just successful as member of Big Bang and as solo early on in his career and it makes it seem like he’s older than he really is.

It is easy to see how Taeyang and Namjoon became friends. Suga fan boying is to adorable. I wish we could see the other members reacting to this the would tease Suga so hard.

I absolutely loved this! Easily one of the best interviews I've seen. It was so cute seeing Suga fanboying over Taeyang. Just the sweetest, or as you said, adorable. I also love how Suga talked about the other members. All of them seem to do that. They miss each other and truly love each other. They're fans of each others work, always complimenting whose ever work is being highlighted. Taeyang seems like an amazing person as well. I've already started checking out so e of his other songs. You can see baby bts cheering big bang on at award show videos.

I remember each time I watched BTS and Suga was the interviewer, I thought, “he should have his own talk show.” He is so good at making his guest comfortable.

Really loved this reaction. It's always great see more people learn about Bigbang and Taeyang. Bigbang are are a legendary group in Kpop, and each of them are legendary soloists in their own right. if you want to learn more about Taeyang's music, I would recommend 'Eyes,Nose,Lips' and 'Wedding Dress'. For Bigbang, I would recommend 'Bang Bang Bang','Bae Bae', 'Cafe', 'Zutter' and 'Forever with you'.Bigbang are also known to be amazing live performers so I would HIGHLY recommend their 2015 MAMA performance!!!

Come to think of it, as an idol group and did so well as soloist since they were young, they truly are the only idol anyone would want to ask for advice. They've been there. They are one of a few Koreans that made a risk but was the only ones who succeeded.

Love watching Suga’s shows. It is interesting to hear artists chatting but this episode was wonderful because of so many wise thoughts Tae was sharing about how to keep going this strong years later. Interesting to hear Suga say how nervous he is to work away from the members so Tae helped him see how he dealt with that. Also, I loved hearing Suga say he is also a fan of BTS-they love each other so much. Thank you for reacting to this-it was great!

When Bts meets their real idol not the one who American try to force asking who’s their American idol or who do they want to collaborate with. Suga’s reaction is real.Most of Bts members became a singers because of Bigbang. Bts and Bigbang is our Korean’s legends and pride!!!

I love this show! Make sure you catch up with the other two episodes. It shows a different side to Yoongi. He is very well versed and knowledgeable about so many things. And yeah the best part was him being embarrassed that his idol knows his songs. Can't wait for these two to collab.

Thats what i thought too. Im an og vip. Been out of the kpop universe for awhile now liked a lot of groups casually and have a very good impression of bts but this really came off as oh this is bts. This interview warms my heart so much. I love seeing who our BTS members have as a senior - someone they can really talk to who understands their life. And he's this warm, wise, introspective and humble man. He really thought about the advice he had to offer. And his dreams - the person he wants to be? I love that too. At some point your dreams can't be about success if you've already done all of that... They need to be about doing what you love while being a person who is happy and healthy. Reminds me of RMs flowerworks, actually. I've never seen a future path for BTS so clearly before, only hoped. I know that whether they create separately or together, all I want is for them all to be able to continue to make music. Your reactions to this were also priceless. I don't know that I've ever seen the three of you that deeply absorbed. So focused! And so was I, the first time through - they're both saying so much that's worth hearing.

Such a wholesome talk with his idol I love how respectful and similar they both were yoongi simping just made it 10 times better .

Fun fact: Before BIGBANG, Taeyang was an underground hip-hop rapper along with fellow BIGBANG member/leader: G-Dragon. Them two were supposed to debut as rapper duo under the name GDYB but the plan was scrapped and they were put in as members of new boy group project BIGBANG. They are the longest trainees in the five member group.

I love to hear them talking about how usually in Korea a musicians career is really short and that seeing Taeyang, who is still active after 17 years, really gives groups like BTS hope that they can still go on and have a successful career after their military service and for many years to come. There are actually more and more groups that are proving this. Super Junior are still very active after 18 years and all 10 members have completed their service, the same as Shinee, who have been active for 15 years and BTOB who have been active for 10-11 years. There are even groups who have proven that they can still promote and make music all together as a team even if one member leaves the label and joins another. The first to come to mind is Monsta X. So don’t worry ARMY, BTS will be back and will release music, promote and tour for many years to come. We just have a wait a little bit. 💜

1st Generation idol group G.O.D. had a very successful concert in December. The members are in their early to mid 40s, the leader is in his early 50s! They're not very active anymore, but they still have concerts every few years. Let's hope for the same longevity for BTS and others.

The guys in bts must have loved big bang's stage presence so much that among all the idols they saw, they aspired to such performances. The fact that they could surpass that and even themselves is the result of their own dedication.

Taeyang started younger as a featured rapper for YG artists as he and GD were supposed to be a hip-hop duo. GD on the hand started at the youngest age of 7. Basically, Taeyang is in the industry for 20 (or 21) years already. He already experienced a lot and it shows

This interview was so refreshing…inspiring…and at times even poetic. At certain points, Suga emulated ARMY so well. If ARMY sat down to talk to BTS…it would look just like that. Honestly, I like them as artists…but as ordinary humans as well…and that combo comes with respect, appreciation & awe all mixed together. If BTS stopped making music tomorrow…I’ll reminisce of them as artist, but I’ll continue to love them as humans. Forever ARMY

😮This interview was amazing for Suga he had confidence oozing out of him so proud he had the opportunity to speak with Taeyang as both an interviewer and a idol of his I am an older Army but I was riverted to the screen I loved them both so relaxed Well done Taeyang but especially Suga a side of him I have never seen I loved them both but Suga I was so proud hopefully their will be many more like that from both sometime soon 🎉🎉🥰💜🍹🍹.

I've always thought Suga was the best MC/interviewer out of all of the members, so seeing him on his own content like this has been so wonderful and refreshing. It was also really fun seeing the fan side of him and how much he respects Taeyang/BigBang.

This is my 1st time watching this interview and I watched it along with you guys! Love your reactions and comments! Also, after I watched this and Taeyang mentioned he gained 10kg in military, I remembered Jimin saying Jin's weight is 66kg now! He was totally right. Last show Jin was in, he said he weighed 59kg man! Now he almost gain 10kg too! He is getting healthier man.

Did you catch they weren’t drinking alcohol. TaeYang said in the beginning he doesn’t drink liquor so he brought 2 non alch drinks. That also impressed me about him.

i swear to god i have never seen an artist as humble as the bts, and to think of the level they are at and they are still so down to earth, it just shows how much they truly love music and have respect for big names even tho they are big themselves.

Same as bigbang too you know his not trying be high asf infront of them Ppl apreeciete jimin and suga but forgot about taeyang he is literlly Telling suga through his eyes "bruh your team is better now I know u like my group so much but plz look at your own work" Bigbang is the most down to earth,humble,and realistic group and BTS following their path as group that they look up too Both of them are the top tier kpop

Totally agree with you, BTS is the biggest name in industry and still humble and kind as when rookies and cameramen didn’t know their names! There’s something in Asian cultures plus their amazing personalities. Even they’re treating as kings in Europe and they still bowing to people and being humble and well behaved

If you only saw their training video how pitiful but has passion for the group they even experience carrying bags to the people in the subway to concert of se7en. Even Scrubbing the floor of their small practice room. everygroup experienced differently. Just saying.

They have honest interaction you can see it too on body language as focused by the camera in my view

I love this interview, Me being a big fan of BIGBANG at first then BTS. Two of my favorite group or individuals on the same screen... It really is a sight to behold.
