Maybe he didn't, I don't know. We have a culture in NA and identifying as an addict shows that we don't care what or how much you used. From our lit: CLARITY STATEMENT We are presented with a dilemma; when NA members identify themselves as addicts and alcoholics, or talk about living clean and sober, the clarity of the NA message is blurred. To speak in this manner suggests that there are two diseases, that one drug is somehow separate from the rest, requiring special recognition. Narcotics anonymous makes no distinction between drugs. Our identification as addicts is all-inclusive, which allows us to concentrate on our similarities, not our differences. Extract from NA World Services Board of Trustees Bulletin # 13 - Some Thoughts Regarding our Relationship to Alcoholics Anonymous. And don't bring Jimmy K into this like he's some kind of Jesus or recovery pope, he was an addict like me and everyone else.

Yea i know bout the statement but our thurd tradition in the grey book proves u can identify however u want and danny is just an addict as well im not trying to argue just saying there's no reason to judge him kuz he said alcoholic
