Similar. I adore silent queens like Mabel Normand and Mary Pickford so I’m glad he’s shown us their graves.
My late Mother-in-law is entombed in the mausoleum. You must all visit this cemetery! It's beautiful! Especially the chapel.
Omg!!! The transformation of John Barrymores to Mr Hyde!!!! More creepy than anything with prosthetics!
Wow that was terrible to hear about what grave robbers did to Maria Pico’s body . Thank you for the history and dignity you give to these actors and entertainers. Keep it up 👍
How does this channel only have 115K subscribers. Such high production values and interesting content
Well, I just came across this interesting video. The majority of my family is buried at Calvary, dating back to late 1920s. I've always had a interest in the main Mausoleum and there are a couple of things that I clearly recall. I remember seeing Ethel Barrymore's name next to her brothers, sans Colt. I also remember seeing the Costello sisters on the same wall as Lou Costello. At the time, I didnt know who the Costello sisters were and I thought they were related to Lou. Then one day, the names of Ethel Barrymore and the Costello sisters were gone and in place were blank stones.
My mom worked at Cathedral for 25 years, so I heard a lot of ghost stories. And at the "new" Calvary cemetery, my Nana, Tata and Noni are buried there. :)
I just discovered these videos a few days ago. I haven't stopped watching since. The quality and professionalism is better than any other video series that I have seen on KZread. Bravo!
BIG THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE SIR!!!... Lou Costello is my absolute favorite of all time along with Bud Abbott. My dad delivered newspapers to Mr Costello back when he lived in Patterson New Jersey. He gave my dad 25 bucks back every Christmas, and in the 1940s that went a long way. Now I need to go see for myself for I am STILL and to the day I pass one of his biggest FANS! Thank you again sir
Love the tour of the Masoleum. As well as taking glimpse of Drew Barrymore s Family Tree
The Who’s On First bit cracks me up every time. Abbot and Costello were comedy geniuses!

Thank you for making these amazing videos. My twin and I love watching them. Please, do keep them coming!
My grandparents are buried at Calvary Cemetery. It's interesting to know the famous graves as well!
Thank you for making these incredibly interesting videos. I’ve always wondered where these stars and famous people were buried after they passed. I used to work for a cemetery district in Northern California before I had to retire due to my health. Again thank you.
Merry Christmas Arthur and Giuseppe!!! Thank you for the Christmas present!!! Very nicely done Gentlemen!!! Thanks for visiting Lou Costello...he has always been a favorite of mine. His young son is also entombed in a nearby crypt. If I remember correctly, he was very young when he died. Being the true performer that he was, he did his radio show with Bud just 3 hours after losing his son. Bud made an announcement about it just after the show. So sad. Take care guys and see you for part 2!!!
John Hodiak was such an underrated, talented and handsome actor. Loved him in Hitchcock's "Life Boat" and "The Harvey Girls" with Judy Garland. I hope there are still plenty of cemeteries you can visit, these videos are the best! :)

From Australia, thank you so much for this series. My lovely wife and I will be in the states for the first time in September, who knows we may even visit some of the cemeteries. Thanks again.
Please keep them coming! Myself and my sister love watching 💜🙏🏾
Fun fact: John Barrymore was originally cast as: Ebonezer Scrooge for (A Christmas Carol,1938) unfortunately, Barrymore suffered a broken hip. While making the movie: (Saratoga, 1937). MGM replaces Barrymore with English stage actor: Reginald Owen

RIP Mabel Normand. Talented comedienne.
i love abbott and costello ,they do this on sketch where lou proves that 7x13 =28 very funny
I have many family members buried here. Looks like they are in very good company. Thank you for the stories.
Wow. And I thought I knew my Hollywood history. I never even heard of Peggy O'Neill. What a tragic story. Only 21. And BTW, as Arthur even acknowledged to me, I AM sort of a pioneer in the celebrity-grave-hunting thing as this was a hobby of mine like, uh, well, 40 years ago. I've been to Calvary many times - mainly to visit the grave of Lou Costello, and STILL I was not aware of many of the other resting places that are featured in this video. And yes, I was aware of the Barrymores and the fact that John was exhumed - which by the time I was there had JUST happened. And Mabel Norman too.
Your videos just keep getting better. Merry Christmas.

Irene Dunne has always been my favorite actress! Thank you for remembering her!
In the early 70's in Detroit, my hometown, every Sunday morning the Abbott & Costello movie played on channel 7!
I'll pay good money for your old hat! With the intensity of an enthusiast and the rigor of a scholar, Arthur Dark ends the year with a charming video. The film clips of the stars keep getting better and better and augment Arthur's narration beautifully. I love the "inter-connectedness" of the stars and how they are related or associated with other stars interred at the other cemeteries. My thanks to Arthur Dark for a fabulous year of superlative videos. Feliz Navidad.
I like your tours, especially your narration and information. Very interesting. Please keep them coming. Your choice of music is also excellent. Thank you.
Lou Costello and Bud Abbott were the most funniest guys I've ever seen in film

New sub here; binge watching your videos and thoroughly enjoying it! I don’t live far from Philadelphia. The cemetery where John Barrymore was relocated, Mount Vernon, is essentially abandoned and is locked 24/7. It’s in very poor condition. Incredibly sad.

Cynthia Thomas There is a Friends of Mount Vernon group, but they have issues accessing the cemetery. Apparently, the owner is elderly and won’t let anyone in. There’s a lot of interest in it so hopefully one day it will be restored. It’s a beautiful cemetery!

Finally, the Barrymores -if you can remember in your early videos,I suggested you to include the Barrymores,I think for two Hollywood graveyard videos. Merry Christmas Arthur, hope you get plenty of PB cups
So many Hollywood cemeteries. You dress really cool.
One of my dad's favorite videos of all time is one of the versions of "Who's On First?" I think it's the version you showed here on the video. If I recall correctly, it's the only video on KZread that can make him have a laugh attack. I've never seen him laugh that much. I think it will forever be one of the funniest pieces of comedy in the world, no competition. :)
Just excellent these productions and thanks !

Mary Philbin's Christine Daae is the most cautious Christine that I have seen! Did you see the way she approached The Phantom from the back? If only Emmy Rossum was as cautious when she played the role in 2004.
Love your videos! Great as always. You have a wonderful voice. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the upload. Watching from Australia.
Nicely done, as always.
