there are certain sacred songs. This is one of those songs. And if you can't sing it from all the way down in the broken parts of your soul and bones, if you can't sing it like you believe it, and feel it like you wrote it yourself, you have no business singing it at all. And this performance, this singer, right here, just made me believe it! well damn done!

I stumbled upon your talents when searching for Tori Amos pieces, and I have been a fan ever since. Your voice and emotion, when singing, are incredibly stunning, haunting and beautiful. I had heard this song sometime ago and saw that you had done a cover of it - all I can say is that I am, once again, awestruck by your talent. You have a rare and special gift - to move ones soul profoundly with your voice and music - please continue to share it with us!

Thanks teakzor, that is what I thought too. However parts of the lyrics made me curious because they didn't fit: "You came home alone without Lili Marlene" "Im glad you stood in my way." "Your enemy is sleeping, and his woman is free." It almost sounds like the friend saved the woman from some abusive relationship. Guess we'll never know :)
