No reason anyone had to be a victim of his crimes either, a felon carrying a gun and threatening people, that's one of the things that got him in trouble to start with. Maybe had he not been such a bad guy he wouldn't have been in jail to start with.

That jail is a shot hole been there twice pretty much gotta fend for yourself and it’s absolutely disgusting

Something is not right. Mom get off the phone and go down there. And some of the comments are ridiculous.

This is sad for a mother it's a nightmare but, young people should know they sign up for tragedy when they choose be a thug. Family and thugs should just make peace with it before this happens. If it's not the law it's another gangster but it's coming to you. It's hard to keep your boy on the straight but it's worth the fight. If it's my boy tomorrow I'm not fighting cause I'm telling him these things and if he still wants it and get it that's just too bad.

Why mention "coldest night of the year"? Does that make him more of a "victim" ?

Back in the 80s there were way more people missing from the harris county jail.

Harris County jail is literal hell on earth.. I dont wish anyone ever has to step foot in there. This is coming from someone who ended up lost in their "system", worst days of my life. Praying this family gets answers

It's a jail, not a hospital. If people would obey the law and stay out of jail they wouldn't have anything to worry about.

You have to stop breaking the law and we wouldn't be hearing about this its sad this happened but once your in jail anything can happen you have no power to protect yourself!

Back in the day the officers would walk u around the hall where the cameras can’t see and would beat you then lock u up in a single man cell until your bruises heal up plus they would put u on visitation restrictions so your family can’t come see u

I remember officer mcgregor Don't even look at him the wrong way he'll split your wig Litterly. Another dude in there had a seizure or something the guard just called for medical and they dragged ole boy out by his ankles still foaming, twitching n chit. People stay outta jail ain't nothing good for you there! Real Talk! The damn staff are not only worst but more dangerous then the inmates!

They know how he died.

Police did not kill him. Guards possibly, but people are usually murdered by other inmates. I agree the system is screwed up.

Prayers for the family. Harris County jail does sadist things like having officers and jailers wake people up in the middle of the night and flip their cell apart. They strip people down butt naked or in your drawers only and force you to keep your arms behind your back and your forehead on the cold steel table in front of you forcing you to endure a painful stress position. Then the jailers throw your letters and property around on a filthy floor and destroy your items while laughing and making sideways threats. This is the tip of the iceberg. When the Feds come to audit the conditions if the Jail they know about a week before and change out the old raggedy sandals for new slides and pass out lunchables instead of the old nasty baloney sandwich and pbj combo which tells me they are misappropriating funds if they do this.

If it was a beating or hyperthermia it would show up on the autopsy. Your put in a room with a safety gown & nothing else if your a threat to yourself or others. Your gowns removed if you act up with it. People die every minute without a reason why.
