That line Moxxie says in episode one, "'Maybe like a sh***y dad... or a mob family. That's understandable." definitely hits a lot differently now. I love that we got to learn about Moxxie's past, but damn, his backstory really broke my heart. Crimson is without a doubt the most despicable character in the show's universe. I'm so happy Moxxie has Millie by his side because he deserves so much better than what he had for most of his life.

Because that's how good writing works. That's how you're supposed to write stories, especially episodes. You're supposed to provide a little clue or a bit of foreshadowing in the beginning. That's just how it is.

Fun fact: According to Vivienne Medrano, they tried to make the design of Moxxie's mom as Wrath/country-style as possible because she was born in the Wrath Ring. Her clothing is obviously influenced by Latin-American Baroque style, her dress including elements of the baiana and pollera. Judging that her design is intended to be very Wrath-like, his may infer a similarity between Latin-American aesthetics and Wrath aesthetics in the HB universe. According to Medrano, Moxxie values his mother's side of his heritage far more than his dad's.

Yes, Crimson killed his wife however, that wasn't who Moxxie pushed into the water. That was a random male imp (you can tell by the horns), that owed Crimson money. If you listen carefully you can hear him say, "I'll pay.....I have a family."

A lot of people read Crimson as being jealous of Moxxie getting his mother's attention. To me it looks more like he sees her as coddling him and preventing him from taking conrol of molding him into what he wants. That's why he got rid of her instead of having her sent away.

The most horrifying realization of all for me, was the fact that somewhere on that wall, Crim probably has the horns of Moxxie's mother on display. I hope Mox finds them and either buries or destroys them; she doesn't deserve that.

@@YukoValis I will say, I don't believe the imp in the boat was Moxxie's mother; if you listen to the muffled voice, it sounds distinctly masculine. We don't know what Moxxie's mother sounds like, but I don't think she'd sound like that. Honestly, as much as I think it's in Crim's wheelhouse to do something horrible like getting Moxxie to finish off his mother, I'm far more convinced that Crim is so selfish and cruel that he wouldn't be able to bear not pulling the trigger himself, along with some cruel one-liner before she died.

Fun fact, the subtitles describe the music that plays during Millie's fight scene as "Girlboss country music"

I remember when Alicia was essentially bedridden, so her being able to get up mid-recording and lay claim to her fiance is great to see!

I love the duality of the chat, when Moxxie's mom's shoe floated up, of trying to clarify that Moxxie didn't kill his mom and that she was already there and every one else screaming in shock

With how much Alicia likes Millie's personality, I feel like she'd enjoy touring the Wrath Ring in general.

Fun fact about the Mafia: They originally started as a sort of "police for people who couldn't go to the police". While they loosely stuck to that credo, it quickly allowed them to get a chokehold on organised crime throughout Italy.

I do like that they make sure to remind folks that there is more to greed than money. Crimson was just butthurt the wife was tending to Moxxie and ignoring him.

The trauma in this ep is heartbreaking... but the Millie pay off was priceless.

This episode really highlights WHY Moxxie had his reservations about killing Martha (the cheating woman in the first episode) and her family, and why he hesitated to shoot the picture Millie and Loona set up for training. It’s because of his own familial traumas. He didn’t wanna shoot Martha at first, because she seemed relatively innocent and wholesome, and that was probably a painful reminder of his own mother and losing her. I think it’s also why, even at the tail end of the episode, he still chose NOT to kill Ralphy (the husband) or the kids, even after discovering they were cannibals. He’s really been through it 😔

11:30 Back in highschool, my class had these "unofficial yearbook votes" kinda like most likely to succeed and stuff like that, except they voted messed up stuff that wouldn't end up in the real yearbook. In the whole school I was voted "most likely to end up a school shooter" and, as one of the only white kids who was also bullied a lot, I found that hilarious. Later that year, we had an unscheduled active shooter drill. Right after the announcement happened, literally everyone in the room looked at me with genuine fear. I just went "it's not me this time" and it still makes me chuckle

20:50- Look at the horns Alicia. It's physically impossible for him to be Moxxie's mom.

The person Moxxie pushes over the boat wasn't his mother as the pattern is different in both. His mother has a tail of one straight colour whereas the person he pushed over the boat has a striped tail.

Major kudos to Richard Steven Horvitz on this one, perfectly handling playing both sides of some very emotionally intense conversations, and also keeping the subtly different voices straight through it all.

I'm not sure if the scars on Chaz's chest mean that multiple people have tried to stab him in the heart, or if someone tried to carve out his heart while chaz was alive, and got pretty far.

yeah. I hate that, the moment he stands up to Crimson, he gets taseredlike it's intended to be a dark humour mood whiplash. Just like in Harvest Moon Festival when Loona kicks the door into his face. We already know that Millie is a one woman ball of destruction... give Moxxie his due! Millie meanwhile could use more character stuff... And when she getsm ore character stuff a few epsiodes down, it feels a bit like "the fans really feel like Millie's ot much of a focal character... let's make that a plot point" pandering, for hte episode, which feels, to me, a bit outta nowhere.

Plus, in Western Energy, Moxxie takes on a whole biker gang and wins; but it's in the background. He has a bad ass moment, and is surprisly capable for the guy who's only suppose to be good with guns. But we don't really get to see much of it. Unlike Millie who always gets these bad girl boss moments.

So Moxie has stated in episode 5 of season 1 that he is from the Wrath ring and this was also announced in the first part of the finale when he went to sing at Ozzie's. Yet his dad is from the Greed ring and we see scenes of him growing up there. Either it is a retcon or maybe his mother is from Wrath and maybe gave birth to him there?

I just thought he lied. Because when he had to take down the hog he pulled out a gun when Striker said he needed a knife. If Moxxie grew up in the Wrath Ring (the ring known for stuff like this) he should've already known. I also think that people from the wrath ring has accents like millie but Moxxie doesn't which doesn't line up with him being from Wrath.

He was born in Wrath but raised in Greed though maybe he remembers Wrath when he was very young too. When he said he was from Wrath he was associating more with his mother (since she is from there) than his father since he actually likes her. Actually Millie kind of fills in that role for Moxxie, she's a tough woman from Wrath who cares for him, thus doubling down his like for the place dispite him not fitting in there.

It wouldn't be that unusual I mean Crimson seems like a POS but pretty charismatic it wouldn't be hard to see him being some low level goon and seducing Moxxie's mom for a while and when he found out he has a child he made them come live with him in greed ring when he "made it big" so to speak.

This along along with Episode 6 are my favourite episodes of Season 2

Oh right. I forgot to mention trivia so here we go. Moxxie's last name is Knolastname. Millie took his surname so she's also a Knolastname. His Mom is from Wrath. So Moxxie values that side of his heritage more than his Greed heritage. So he says he's from Wrath when asked. He was born in Wrath but was raised in Greed. One of the main goons for Crimson is named Al. Crim and Al. Criminal. Ha. The prison jumpsuits Moxxie and Blitz wear have the numbers 69 on them I just think its cute Blitz got a baby sitter for Loona. A lot of folks think it was Millie. Folks working on the show had their computers crash because of all the censored dildos.

Not sure if you guys caught it but in the wedding we learn Moxxie's full name, being "Moxxie Knolastname" XD

the flashback in this episode is my favourite moment from the entire series the storytelling was so beautifully done and without a single word it was heart breaking and captivating at the same time. and we all know Moxxie is a goddamned stallion down there he's the horse they were talking about and Chaz is compensating

Aw yes, Xs and Os. One of the Best episodes of Season 2, so far. Moxie getting a Dark and Tragic backstory, Millie being an absolute BOSS, and WE EVEN GOT A SHREK REFERENCE. That movie came out in 2001 (god dame i feel old thinking about that), the people that know that line are probably in their 20s or 30s at this point. Oh, also meet Crimson and add him to the Villien List. And yes im pretty sure he has his Wifes Horns and Tail hanging in his Bedroom somewhere.

Best episodes? meh. Honestly, imho Ep 2. 6 and 7 easily declass it. Also... we already know htat MIllie is "an absolute boss"... We've seen it often enough. it's moxxie who needs scenes to be badass! On his own, rather than in team ups. And not get immediately tasered or have Loona kick a door in his face. Also,d now we have 3 for 3 of the main male characters having abusive fathers. Creative.

​@@undertakernumberone1 Yeah i really hate every time they UNDER CUT Moxxie like that. At least him getting tased here kinda made sense (ya don't just threaten a mob boss). At least the wedding song was a banger. Episode 2 is kinda all over place, with some nice moments from Blitz and Loona. Alexia's "Fathers & Daughters" title was certainly fitting. (seriously the only memorable moment is Blitz's flashback and Loona/Octavia's talk) But yeah, they really just need to Hand Moxxie a sniper rifle and tell him to go murder someone. He's good with his hands, and guns. Also would kill for a Girls Night episode just to give Millie, Loona and Octavia more screen time, they could use some time away from the boys.

Yeah, this episode went crazy. We went from the Godfather to Shrek and then went to Kill Bill. So many movie genres in 1 dam 30 minute episode.

Okay for those of you who don't know. Luna not talking was a deliberate choice by Spindle Horse. That doesn't mean they are getting rid of Luna or recasting her VA. She just simply didn't have any lines. And by some strange coincidence, during production Erica Lindbeck (Luna 's voice actor)'s fiancée, Billy Kametz (also a voice actor), passed from colon cancer.

Moxxie mother was killed previously, Moxxie was forced to kill a male imp. When the Imps body hit the bottom, it disturbed Moxxie’s mother’s corpse causing her shoe to float up.

This episode made Moxxie's actions in Murder Family make sense. He was watching as Blitz was about to kill a seemingly innocent mother who clearly loved her kids. And then Blitz casually remarked about RUINING A FAMILY, which is EXACTLY what happened when his dad killed his mom. It triggered him HARD and made him flash back... in that moment he wasn't adult Moxxie but CHILD Moxxie, and Blitz wasn't Blitz anymore he was CRIMSON, and Martha wasn't 'the target', she was suddenly HIS MOM. And he proceeded, with zero hesitation or thought, to do EXACTLY what he wishes he'd been strong enough to do then: He saved his mom, from his dad. The flashback only lasted a moment before he snapped out of it but by then the damage was done.

You know, if Crimson wasn't so... Crimson, the "yeah, gay" line might've been weirdly wholesome

if there's one thing that is more terrifying then mil in a red rage murder mode, it is her in a FOCUSED red rage murder mode. Striker got the upper hand on her cause she was seeing red and not focused. here shes focused and damn near untouchable.

Alright, finished the vid. Don't know if you took note of it, but remember that Imps are some of the lowest of the low in Hell's hierarchy. Can't remember if they're above or below Hellhounds, but they're close, and they're definitely below all the other kinds of demon... Crimson runs a massive mafia organization in Greed, the most cut throat ring, he has trophies from Imps, Hellhounds, Sharks, and Incubi/Succubi openly displayed in his house. He's a complete and total piece of shit, but it is also intriguing and impressive that he has such power and status despite being 'just' an imp.

THAT person was some random guy, I don't understand why people think THAT was his mom, it's clearly a man and doesn't look anything like how his mother dressed and was not wearing the shoes either. That WAS his mother's shoe however, indicating Crimson sank her previously. Moxie probably doesn't even know she's dead, much less that he did it. Also, continue to ration your tears, you'll need plenty of them still.
