Lydia Rajpat, a Family Support Worker with UHN’s Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Clinics at Toronto Western Hospital, has a background in clinical counselling and in engaging Toronto’s diverse communities to increase mental health awareness. In this presentation, she focuses on topics that empower patient families and caregivers to effectively support a loved one with a mental illness, such as mental health education, service navigation, practical tools and self-care.
